Sure should have re-signed Tanev, or maybe gone for a defenceman (or 3) instead of Rantanen.

There's no real track record of teams being hot at the end of the season having playoff success. It's a bit of a dead time of year for teams who know they're playoff bound but mostly know where they'll finish so the intensity isn't quite what you'll see on night one of the playoffs.

With his performance tonight Markstrom drops to .899 save percentage on the season....traded for Kevin Bahl and a first round pick. Amazing trade. Just need to draft a stud with that pick.

It's the first time a team ever came back from a 3 goal deficit in the final minute and then won the game. I hate the Canucks, but you have to respect that.

Nice comeback by the Avs to win 3-2 in the SO over the Knights. The Avs PK was perfect, 4/4. The Knights had Schmid in net and he made 34 saves. The win along with the Stars bizarre OT loss has the Avs still having a chance to pass the Stars in a tiebreaker.
The Sabres beat the Hurricanes 3-0, Reimer with the 33 save SHUTOUT. Kind of surprised with how Carolina sucked in this game. The loss means that the Hurricanes can't catch the Capitals for 1st place in the eastern conf. The Leafs loss puts the Capitals magic number down to 2 to clinch 1st place in the conf.
