 Not realistic at this point.

If the next few games go the right way (say the blues lose two and the Flames win the next two) then it'll be worth adding back in.
 |
No its not, if the Flames win out the Wild need to win 2 of 3

That three point swing we handed the Oilers on a silver platter really would have helped make this way more interesting.

If they lose to cgy and win 2/3 that's 95 points.

Flames win out (97), or go 4-0-1 (96) and they're in.

Min has to win 3 of 3 if the Flames win out in order to block them.

Teams like the Sharks and Ducks have 20 and 33 wins. It's not like these things are unheard of.

In fact, SJ looked due for one yesterday.

To add to that, Minnesota is around .500 at home. The road is where they bank most of their points. So they're definitely prone to losing there.

 That game has to matter.

That depends... I can't remember how the Flames were playing at the time of the original game?

Sharks have beat the Caps and the Blues...its the NHL you never know. Sharks have lost a ton of one goal games and just set a record for blown 3rd period leads. They have been in games, maybe they hang on for once.

Besides, this one would be a huge bonus but not expected. Flames need to run the table and force them to win all three.

That game was scheduled to be a back to back and they were middling at the time.

They probably lose that game.

Bumping it to the end of the season might give them a shot to win it.

Back to back against the best home team in the league vs. game vs. team with nothing to play for (hopefully)

Things are really not looking good....
So if the Flames finish 17th and the Panthers get knocked out in the first round, couldn't that be a difference of just one spot in the draft?

Edit: I guess exactly one spot is unlikely, but it could mean not that big of a difference in a weak draft, and at least a change that can made up with via good scouting.

Beat the Leafs 2 both times this year as well. Any team can win on any night, would be nice to see an unexpected gift from the Sharks before we have to beat them again.

Yes and even if it ends up being the difference of 3 spots that could still result in the flames still getting their guy much like when they traded down twice and got zary anyway.
