Flames 3 Sharks 2
Flames 3 Sharks 2
- Wolf simply brilliant or they lose this one
- Klapka, Frost and Coronato with third period goals
- Flames keep on keeping on
- Is Pospisil hurt? He came back but didn't play

I agree with your point on the PP change. I'm not saying our first unit are world beaters, but they are the stronger group, yet too often it seems the Flames go for the 55:45 split or so, I too thought they would change them up but second game in a row I've noted them going with the lead group a bit longer- its the right move at this stage

Last game they nicely went with three shifts with the first unit starting and finishing. That IMO is the way to go.
Without Zary that second unit is just too weak offensively.

The Flames really only have two threatening shooters, Kadri and Coronato. So if Pospisil comes out, I'd be leaning towards putting Suniev in, provided the coaching staff is confident enough from practice that he has picked up the system and wouldn't be too much of a liability on the ice.

Nows the time to aomehow get sharky playing with more confidence. Because this teams need of goals right now is extremely important.
Huberdeau has cooled off too. Hopefully Pospisil just needs maintenence but the guy broke thr Flames record already for hits in a season so the effort is there for sure even if points arent.....bad to lose his physicality that no one can replace.
I know we arent chasing the blues but they lost.
Oilers lost
Kings lost
Sharks please beat Wild tomorrow and Flames win Baby

Flames need to go 5-0-0 or perhaps 4-0-1 to catch Minnesota. They can't catch St. Louis at their current pace (over the season).
Picks 11-14 eliminated. Pick 15 eliminated with one more Flames point.

I don't think Huberdeau has cooled off, the Frost line has been dangerous every night, they've just all been snake-bitten. And Coronato went into a bit of a funk for a few games.
But I think Huberdeau has continued to play well

Their magic number on VAN is still 6. So 15 is still at risk. Magic number with UTH is still 5. So 14 is still at risk.
I know you're looking at 'pace', but pace doesn't exist over a 5-game span

Agreed ... I just wish they didn't break that line up. Frost/Huberdeau/Coronato has been the best line this season for trios with 100 minutes together.
Interesting side note ... Coronato is on 4 of the top 8 lines, and on the top 3.
But with Sharangovich playing a touch better that third line looked way better last night.

Shouldn't have used the word eliminated.
And agreed on pace, but the math is the math.

I'd think if Pospisil is injured we'll see Klapka move up the lineup and Hunt slot into that fourth line spot.

I thought Pospisil broke his arm for sure,
Will be curious, if he placed on IR

I thought it was almost a dirty play the way he was grabbed by his arm and wrestled into the boards.

It's early April and Bingo is still writing Full Game takes. Honestly what a testament to the way this team has fought all year. Not the year I thought we'd have.
Thanks, Bingo!

No kidding.
I remember back in October discussing a weekly summary when the team looked to be out of it.

IIRC, that was at the first intermission of the game against the Canucks on October 9th.
