Bad period but down by a goal to the Sharks is by no means insurmountable.

I actually thought that outside of the very beginning, the Sharks hadn’t been dangerous right up until that goal, despite all the shots. But that was simply bad D (after a pretty good shift by the 4th line).

He is the best thing about this Flames team.

The team doesn't look into it, might be rattled about Millen or they see the writing on the wall.

Fill up the gas tank for the rest of the game. That was some lazy skating the entire period.

Why can't this coach ever have this team ready to start on time? Every game they don't get into it until the 2nd period at earliest.

Awful period, for a team with everything to play for that was dreadful. They better pick it up or it’s done.

I don't know, was that the D pairings fault? They were focused either side of the net. No one else can pick up the guy just hanging out in front?

I'd guess more Millen than anything. They've also had a lot of 'meh' first periods this season. It's like they need to be desperate to get going.

It's one goal down against San Jose. I'm not freaking out quite yet. Lots of game left, I have a feeling they will be much better in the 2nd.

It is when the team doesn’t even show up. They might as well shower and head to LA early.

Hahahaha, seriously **** these guys if they can’t get themselves fired up for a game. They are professional athletes, it shouldn’t be that hard. It isn’t up to the coach to get the team ready to start on time.
