True, it definitely doesn’t have to be tonight. But sooner then later I hope.

Pretty sure he’ll get a game or two if the flames get eliminated. Doubt he will until then.
Be patient!

Once again, why? Plenty of players have made this jump in incredibly important games, and have thrived.

He also came from university, which is has players a little older and physically mature than the OHL.

I watched him at the start of this year. Also saw him at a restaurant after the game. He is phydically very small. Looks like he was 15 or 16.
If he was coming out of college or a minor pro league I could see them maybe doing it. But from what I saw he’s not physically ready for that type of game. Skill wise and game sense yes. But he’d get steamrolled. He was a boy. NHL is for men. They’ll have to wean him in. You probably don’t do that in the middle of a playoff race.
Too risky in my mind.

If Makar practiced it would have been after he signed, NCAA rules don't allow it.

Yeah, they would have had probably two practices as they were already in Calgary. Depending on when he signed...also, NCAA vs. OHL.
I'm sure people will freak out for no reason as usual but waiting 2 days so he can practice seems like the reasonable thing to do.

Ya, but it wouldn’t shock me if he played tonight. Seems a little too quiet right now.

I hope he plays.

Makar played in the Frozen Four final Saturday April 13
He signed Sunday April 14. I would be surprised if he got in on time for a practice. Suppose it's possible though.
He played Game 3 of the series in Denver on Monday April 15. I would imagine he had the morning skate with the team.

I mis Cheese's playoff odds effect matrix where it shows the change in odds for outcome of the game.
