If Jagr can play somewhat effectively until 50, Ovi can delay his hometown return for a few more years and score more in the NHL

Don't think Ovechkin takes care of his body the same way Jagr does.

Not happy that a Putin fanboy is the record holder, but am happy that a Trump fanboy is no longer the record holder.

So you’re mad at Ovechkin and Gretzky for bringing politics into sport? They’re the ones that made it political not the people posting about it on the Internet.

So people aren’t free to believe and communicate their political views? Please give me one reason how that impacts the game and achievements of the athletes.

When I worked retail in college I waited on a 16 year old Alexander Ovechkin in little ole Sydney, NS.

Now, I'm not saying that **I** am the reason Ovi is the all time goal scoring leader... but... I'm not not saying it.

Did they show Putin's reaction to the goal?

Aren’t you the one that said that people aren’t free to communicate their political views? Or is it only OK for rich and famous professional athletes?

I mean these tariffs seem complete stupidity from Trump. If they are a way to strong arm other nations to get stuff, ok fine. But long term it's going to be very harmful for everyone.

Ovechkin dedicates his record-breaking goal to the brave men and women bombing Ukrainian hospitals

Quote:
Ovechkin, a man who’s repeatedly expressed strong public support for a murderous authoritarian while also being really good at hockey, dedicated his remarkable feat to all the Russian soldiers working hard to murder innocent Ukrainians.
Quote:
“I don’t want to talk politics,” Ovechkin added. “Hockey transcends boundaries, like the national one Putin is trying to violently wipe from the map.”
Quote:
At press time, Putin had issued a statement calling Ovechkin an inspiration to a generation of young men who won’t be able to play hockey because they’ve had limbs blown off by his warmongering.

Everyone's free to have an opinion, and ignore those they don't agree with.

Are you aware of what’s going on these days?

Some things need to be worried about more than hockey.
