I love this team too, but they're a star forward and a star defenseman away from being a legit threat.

We have Hanley playing on our top d pairing. And we do not have any 1st line forwards.

You're embarrassing yourself, take a break lol. The team deserves credit for how far they got this year with almost no talent.

Rangers win tomorrow. Flames beat Ducks Thursday.

Four points out with 7 to go and two games in hand and a head to head with the Wild.

I really don't feel like this is over.

Rangers just really need to win that game tomorrow.

Sorry I missed the game and just catching up now... You mean to say this was not awarded as a goal to the Flames? What year is it?

Parekh may take time but looks pretty promising

The F thing, hopefully they sort out

It 100% is a good thing for the league for sure. It keeps it kinda interesting and keeps people engaged and spending money. Nothing wrong with it from a fan's perspective.

Like I said before, statistics and probability. Can we go 8 wins in a row? Yes, will we? Doubtful. That level of honesty from a fan and team perspective can help make decisions that improve the club longer term.

I think Calgary just has trouble beating teams that work just as hard, but have that little bit more size and skill. Utah is a hard working team, as are St. Louis.

After the loss against Edmonton, things started becoming faint. Just nice to see them playing hard still and doing their best. It is entertaining hockey still, and for it being so late in the season, I will take it.

Count my vote for a Huska extension - what he has been getting out of this team from start to finish is damn amazing. You have to squint very hard with a welder mask on to think otherwise.

Still hope that Conroy goes the rebuild route this summer. Wolf has had a great year, but he can't keep the Flames above water by himself, and it is showing. The difference between wins and losses right now amount to talent - you can't get a team that plays as hard consistently as the Flames do, but when everyone else is playing at that effort level, that's when the edge starts to blur for this team. Still love to see them get after it, however.

Still a glimmer left. Flames schedule is fairly easy now, plus a head-to-head against the Wild that may mean a lot, and potentially an awesome team at home that may just rest a number of guys at the end of the season - if things go well enough, that might be a very meaningful game. Unlikely given the stats and all, but it is also not out of the realm of possibility either.

What? We barely have a hockey team outside a star, rookie goalie.

Needed Kerins and Parekh. Too many inept or snakebit shooters on this squad.

We have a 115 point winger who has been neutered into a 55 point winger. Almost no talent...your a fool.

The league has a mandate out to prevent the flames from winning.

Coleman definitely has lost a step this year. Same with Backs.

He was neutered by Darryl Sutter not Huska.

Huska has gotten the most out of him since he’s been here.

But McDavid MacKinnon and Matthews wouldn't struggle to score under Huska, it's a moot point. You're coming unglued again, dude.

Now they need St Louis/Minnesota losses to get them back in it.

Outside of basically running the table, their destiny is currently out of their hands, at least until those teams lose combined with a Flames W to get them off the mat.

Only real, feasible path is going 7-1 and beating Minnesota in regulation along the way.

Banned for what? Having a differing opinion? Dude, you are not going to pay up anyhow. We all know it.

Yeah, I feel like that Rangers game and us against the Ducks are the deciders of our season.

This off season we need to dump the Backlund, Coleman, Bean etc to get some young guys going. Look at Utah they are in fact a better team minus Wolf.

It is what it is but off-season flush out some of the veterans is a must do imo.
