8-1 would need the Wild and Blues to run the table. I actually think the Wild are catchable without the need to go 8-1.

As I mentioned in the GT, I am not really good at being on team tank, not only do I hate cheering on losers, it's probably too late anyway. But I was willing to give it an awkward hug if the players give up and go with that approach.

Suddenly, we hope for a Blues lose (finally) tomorrow and Flames beat HC, and things get pretty exciting again. Also, +1 variance on the Wild, perhaps that game Apr 15 looms large.

In summary, winning is more fun, especially when it's hard work and a good'ol upset .

Nah, I was just saying it is still unlikely. I appreciate the Flames effort though, that comeback was crazy.

If anything my posts just seem worse because Dissentower needs to dissect every one of my posts. But I truly am cheering for them to make playoffs, they aren't finishing bottom 10.

He had so much swagger in the third. The points were so important but overall how he played was so good.

Big clean hits. Out-muscling guys. Going to the net. And no penalties.

Gotta love this team! Kadri and Huberdeau can't be the guys every night and it's awesome to see the fourth line step up when needed. Vladar was awesome.

Klapka is such a tease, he looks like he could be a top 6 guy every game for a couple shifts. Reminds me of Ruzicka

Down 2-0 in the 3rd against a true Stanley cup contender. As far as I’m concerned this is the biggest win of the year.

Really need the Wild to go on a 3 game losing streak here.

@Rangers
@Islanders
Stars
Sharks

If the Wild go 1-2-1 in those 4 games they will be at 91 points in 79 games going into the H2H with the Flames

In that same stretch the Flames have

@Utah
Ducks
Knights
Sharks
Ducks

Flames need to at least go 3-1-1 in those 5 games, that would have them at 89 points in 78 games played heading into the game with Minnesota.

It means you win that head to head and all of a sudden you're tied in points with a game in hand going into the final 3 or 4 games of the season for each team.

Blues have to come down to earth. Wild are bot that good and Oilers are... well, you know. Anything is possible.

I'm so relieved they won. I was totally ready to bright side things and get excited about the kids being called up, but this is way better.

People complained the Flames had no effort lol. They got out skilled for 2 periods and the team with the lead often gets a push back from the team down and the Flames didn’t give up and pushed back.

The same complaint that Huska all of a sudden shuts the team down after going up 1-0 and had them back off. The other team will push back, Huska didn’t change the system just like Bednar didn’t change his system.

You are fogetting the 2 games in hand and the head to head. They are not actually 6 back unless they lose both games in hand. It is in their own control to tie the Wild, beyond that they need to play even with them. Not easy but not crazy either.

Hmm, actually you are probably correct. I didn't notice the games in hand.

I'm sorry, you are right. Still need to go on a big run, but won't need to run the table.

Rangers and Islanders are desperate for points. Those games are going to be tight.

Klapka and Vladar better get hugs.

Unforseen win. Makes up for the Dallas loss.

Makes things a little more interesting for sure. The minnesota home game will be massive.

Just guessing based on all of the games left I think it will end. I think 7-2 gets them in

Blues 97
Flames 96
Wild 94
Van 89
Utah 84

I also think Klapka scores game 7 winner for the cup.

In event of a tie with St.Louis / Minny am I reading the tie-break procedure as first is win% and second is RW’s?

In which case, doesn’t look amazing for us…?

The bright side:

We've gotten through the mini gauntlet and now are looking at 4 games left against playoff teams (one versus the slumping Wild) and 5 games against non-playoff teams.

This is where we can and should (hopefully) make hay.
