I did really like Klapka stepping up and letting Rantanen know that #### wont be forgotten. Such a dumb careless play, I'd have jumped him no question.
Lots of people forgiving Rantanen for that play last night as it was accidental, but on the heels of him also clipping Skinner in the head the night before its not a great look. Poor timing for him on at least 2 levels.
Wow need both a hug and 20 minutes in a smash room after that one. Hope Zary is okay.
Completely dominated a legit cup contender that is 3rd in the league. Mark my words, the Flames might not make the playoffs this season but they will next year.
Need to get a bit of help in the goal scoring department
After watching the replays of the Dallas goals I think Wolf should have stopped a couple of them. Sure the defence lapsed but that’s when the goalie is supposed to bail them out. Not Wolfs best game at all and his size seemed to be a factor. Still think Vladar should have played last night.
I'm sorry, but Gary.. this was called a ####ing GOAL! On the same night as well. What in the actual F. When compared to what Farabee did? You have to be ####ing kidding me. Garbage

Have to feel for the players after that game. They played really well. To have 2 goals disallowed on a team that doesn’t score much is back breaking. Probably not a popular opinion but wolf needed to make on of those saves. It’s not like they would have been easy but for flames to be successful he needs to make one of them like he has time and time again. Unfortunately he didn’t have it in him last night.
That was a heroic performance by the Flames and I hope they enjoyed some very well deserved drinks after the game with today being a day off. To give that effort and come away with 0 points, coupled with a night out blowing off some steam afterward, can really galvanize a group.
Regroup and come to work Saturday prepared to hand out a ruthless beatdown.

Still don’t understand why Flames did not challenge the Wyatt Johnston goal.
He clipped Wolf on his initial drive and he couldn’t reset for the rebound.
Took a look at the standings and even with the games on hand, that's a tough run to make. At this stage a tumble down the standings might be best long term. Or maybe an epic run to 8th? Welcome to the mucky middle....again...for the millionth time. Sigh.
they aren't going to lose 8, 9 or 10 in a row. That's what it would likely take to get into that bottom 10. They're 7 points up on 23rd. There's just so many teams between CGY and that spot and it's not like those are great teams picking up points every game.
It's just not going to happen.
They still have a better shot at making the playoffs that crapping the bed into a top 10 draft position.

Come on, be real. No one is ever getting that call.
Toughest loss of the season, pretty much every high danger chance went in for the Stars. Flames knew they were playing a tired team and had the pedal down from puck drop. One of those games that this sport reminds you how gut wrenching it can be. I don’t think the season is over by any means, it is Flames luck that St Louis has gone on a 8 game winning streak but thats the sport and weird things tend to happen. They need pts in the next two and need to beat Utah and then the Ducks to stay in it. Been a fun season with no expectations, proud of the effort the Flames have put in. Even if they finish 9th they they still will have a couple firsts and I look forward to seeing how Conroy can improve this team in the off season. Feeling much more optimistic than I was even a year ago given the state Treliving left this franchise in.
