Does this mean we get to watch Huska play his favourite player Hunt like crazy? Doesn't that sound exciting.

I don't really have a choice not to with the NHL's stupid blackout rules. I'm not paying extra when I'm already subscribed to Sportsnet.

I could see a Kerins callup now to play on the wing in the top 6

Not surprised, that looked terrible. Hard to imagine a scenario where he’s not out for the season now. Feel terrible for the kid and he’ll definitely be missed. I’m actually more concerned for him long term now. Two knee injuries (especially serious ones) in that short a time can’t be good.

“It's unfortunate,” said Coleman, in a room quieted by the 5-2 loss, as well as the Zary injury.

“You got guys working their ass off out there and giving everything they’ve got, and you’re scoring goals, and you got somebody sitting behind a desk just making a judgment call that influences the game. Two of them that I thought you could put those clips side by side with a ton of different goals this year, and you're going to get different answers on every goal. So that's the ambiguity of the sport.”

He went on.

“Sometimes they go in your favour and sometimes they don't,” he said.

“You're not always going to agree with them. That's just the way the game is. But sometimes the consistency, especially with the foot stuff, it just seems to be just nobody really knows.”
Quote:
“Yeah, I maybe touched him, barely,” said Farabee, who, like many Flames, felt both goals should have counted.

“I was told by the refs that if the shot was glove side, it was a goal, and if it was blocker side, it's no goal. I've never heard that.”
Quote:
“I certainly feel like we got robbed tonight,’ said Nazem Kadri, whose sixth and seventh goals in the last five games were overshadowed by the loss.

“I thought they were both goals. I mean, that stuff happens in the playoffs, someone's getting exposed.”
Quote:
Despite their exemplary effort, nothing went Calgary’s way on this night, especially for Zary, whose sickening collision with Mikko Rantanen left him writhing in pain while grabbing the same left knee he injured earlier in the year.

“It makes you sick to your stomach,” said Coleman.

“He's a great kid. He's a big part of our team. He's been through a lot. He worked hard to get back into the lineup and be a difference-maker for us. I haven't been in there yet to hear what's going on, but it's where your mind goes after this game.”

There is a tremendous amount of heart in this team. They took care of almost everything that was within their control. What wasn’t within their control was the usual NHL bull####, and I’m sick of it.

I’m here for the Flames. The NHL can go to hell.

Wow need both a hug and 20 minutes in a smash room after that one. Hope Zary is okay.

Completely dominated a legit cup contender that is 3rd in the league. Mark my words, the Flames might not make the playoffs this season but they will next year.

What do you want to bet that the ####### that overturned both goals was that asshat Kris King? Remember earlier in the year, when they were showing camera shots inside the situation room and they were reviewing a Flames goal for goalie interference and the camera caught Kris King giving an over enthusiastic "thumbs down" with a huge grin on his face. Probably that ####er again.

Tough loss, and devastating injury for now and the future when it comes to Zary.

On the bright side, I thought that was Frost’s best game as a Flame.

That guy shows up more often and he’s certainly a guy I see being a cog in this team’s lineup for years to come.

I know mathematically it didn’t end things. But last night felt like a nail in the coffin.

That one looked like he might be out for part of next season due to rehab. It did not look good.

Man, the swings on this forum, even during game threads. The Flames are 6 points back of the Blues with 3 games in hand. They are 8 points back of the Wild with 2 games in hand, which is admittedly a much harder task. But one of there games remaning is against the Flames

The Blues are not going to win all of their last 8 games.

Everyone has been counting out the Flames all season, and in their two comeback wins earlier this week/last, lots of people were calling them done during the game itself. They may not make the playoffs, but there are by no means done - especially after wildly outplaying the Stars last night.

I get what you are saying. But optically last night was a big setback. Losing Zary again was probably the biggest loss.

Yep, have to remember they weren't going to, and wouldn't have to, win all of their remaining games.

Frustrating loss. Really disheartening to see Zary go down like that. Not a dirty play, but you could see the pain and frustration on his face.

Took a look at the standings and even with the games on hand, that's a tough run to make. At this stage a tumble down the standings might be best long term. Or maybe an epic run to 8th? Welcome to the mucky middle....again...for the millionth time. Sigh.

8 win in a row for STL? WTF
