Skinner was a healthy scratch for a 6 game stretch I believe.

Corey Perry - 69GP - 15G - 8A - 23P
Viktor Arvidsson - 55GP - 10G - 12A - 22P

Warren Foegele - 70GP - 20G - 20A - 40P

Cody Ceci - 73GP - 4G - 18A - 22P

TOTALS 73G - 119A - 192P

When the Oilers are eliminated from the playoffs early this year, you can point a finger squarely on incompetent player management that cost the Oilers a chance at a Cup. Every personnel decision in the offseason was the wrong one. That level of ineptitude is astounding.
That is actually being too kind to the Oilers. They replaced those 5 (Holloway, McLeod, Foegele, Broberg and Ceci) with:

Jeff Skinner - 60GP - 14G - 10A - 24P
Viktor Arvidsson - 55GP - 10G - 12A - 22P
Vasily Podkolzin - 70GP - 7G - 15A - 22P
Ty Emberson - 65GP - 0G - 10A - 10P
Joshua Brown - 8GP - 0G - 1A - 1P

TOTALA: 31G - 48A - 79P

They let 192 pts go, and replaced them with 79pts

And they got older, smaller, and slower, in the process

"Masterclass!"

Worth noting that this is the same amount of points that Matthew Savoie currently has in the AHL.

The other guy in the trade, Tyler Tullio, is now on loan to the Calgary Wranglers from the Sabres

More oilers fellation from sportsnet.

This is the headline after literally 1 game:

Surprising Oilers who have stepped up to fill gap left by McDavid, Draisaitl

They are getting stepped on, and filled in. Maybe that's what SN meant?

Skinner has 1 game over .875 in his last 5 starts.

Anyone else notice the brutal charge by Nurse from behind on Robertson right before the hattrick goal? Luckily they at least got him for interference which was the least of the 3 infractions. That was some attempt to injure s*** right there.

The only reason the Oilers almost won the cup last year was because they had a historic PK in the playoffs and I highly doubt they repeat that again this year. So basically, E=NG

Just looking at the stats sheet from last night:

Henrique had a goal, an assist and was a -2

Perry had a goal and an assist and was a -1

Those sure look like McDavid/Drai replacements to me.

The Edmonton Oiler booster club, otherwise known as their media, Spector, Staples et al are all in an uproar on Edmonton radio this morning. They are angry that no one ran Jake Oetinger in retaliation for the Rantanen hit that took out Skinner. Are these idiots delusional??? For one, I don't think it was intentional. Skinner has been taking dives all season. I've just never heard a media throng that tries so hard to incite their team to start garbage with opposing teams. We saw it first hand with the Tkachuk / Kassian incident. The media that surrounds that team is embarrassing.

And McDavid was only a couple points away from the ALL-TIME record for playoff points set in the ridiculous 80s. He was an absolute beast, and they still couldn't win. Lol.

He had 42 points btw. Wayne had 47.

Lets also not forget a decimated Vancouver team that took them to the brink with a third string goalie and missing a top forward. Then a Dallas team that was exhausted from going toe-to-toe with the previous year Stanley Cup champs.

Literally the Oilers had the easiest path to the Stanley Cup final in probably the last 30 yrs.

Hilarious. Skinner leaned into Rantanen's path.

The way Skinner laid motionless and hammed it up after getting nicked, he should be forced onto IR.

Oilers called up Rodrigue. Will Skinner be ready for Saturday. Why of course he will be, along with Conna and Leon.
