My golf course in Nanton decided to replace the eye sore of a Green domed tournament tent we had for a new facility. We had $150,000 in savings and put it towards a permanent structure to host tournaments and other events. Still a work in progress.

Is there a list somewhere of opening dates around here?

That's probably pretty good, but hopefully you don't end up hosting too many tournaments there so you can't get tee times as easily!

Played first round of the year today at GlenEagles and it was cold. Shot a tidy 41 on the front but then it just got too cold and miserable, and I had some adventures in some early season bunkers.

Hot shower when I got home was pretty clutch.

Well after a couple days of delays with UPS, my Takomo 201's were delivered yesterday.

First impressions:
Visually they are a nice club (really love the look in the bag), but smaller than I thought they were going to be, much closer to a blade than a cavity back. Takomo threw in a hat and a towel with the set too so that was nice.

Spoiler!

Took them to the sim last night for an hour, definitely some getting used to on the longer irons (a couple of thin burners and 1 or 2 hossel hits when i was messing with my grip) but 7-PW are buttery smooth.

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised... can't wait to get them out to the proper range and on the course.

Pebble beach is every bit as magical as you would imagine it is. Highly recommend it to anyone. Beauty weather today. Played like #### but that’s ok.

Back at it on pebble tomorrow. Hoping to break 90.

Drove out to Speargrass in Carseland and got in a round of golf with my buddies. It was at times a windy as ####, hold onto your hat type of day. Still, it felt good to be swinging the sticks again.

Got our course Masters tournament this Saturday.
Best 3 net scores from your foursome + one of the top 15 masters pros scores added to your team.
Hopefully we get Scottie.

Some precipitation and warmth over the next couple weeks. Should help the courses open up.

A few years ago one group dominated. We thought they didn't even get a pro, because it said NA beside their names. It took a while before we figured out their pro was Kevin Na, and that NA did not mean Not Applicable.

My new clubs arrived today. I wasn't sure what was going to happen to club prices with all the tariff stuff going on so I decided that I better act fast and get an order in. I decided to try out a set of Cobra one length clubs to see how those play. Hopefully I can see some improvement after a few sessions.

I'm on my second set of one lengths and I love them. My first 2 or 3 rounds with them I hated them though haha..
