Thanks to the vote compass I learned that Beaver actually is a language. From what I can find there's still about 150 people between 6 different reserves who still speak it in North East B.C. and North West Alberta.

Well with the news today, that's a wrap on this election. Conservatives couldn't even last two days in the election cycle without a scandal of this magnitude coming out.

It does for me, I landed where I figured I would and it’s almost perfectly centered between the liberals and conservatives. The bar charts on the bottom showed me barely closer to the Conservative Party. I’m probably not the further right wingers you’re looking for but it seems accurate.

Not a RW but bucking the “off centre” trend, it had me right up with the NDP and Greens, with 91/89% respectively.

Maybe RW don’t want to share because it shows them closer to the Liberals lol

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre's refusal to get his security clearance is back in the spotlight on the campaign trail following reports the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) learned that India helped organize support for his leadership bid.

The Globe and Mail reported Tuesday that CSIS learned that Indian proxies were involved in raising money and organizing within the South Asian community for Poilievre during the leadership race, which he went on to win in 2022.

Pretty well bang on for my beliefs. In fact I straddled the vertical line right on the nose, just south of the center so basically Economic center and just slightly Conservative on the social front.

Unweighted results; although after weighting them, it pretty much stayed on the same social line, moved a bit closer to the center economically. I would say I am more socially progressive than this graph shows; however, many of those questions dealt with issues that i felt like Trudeau went too far on; but my opposition to those issues is more economics based than socially based.

This is so stupid. Im pretty sure we can all agree that PP had that leadership race in the bag. Why be involved (even in an indirect way) to this crap. Very similar to the Kenney Kamikaze scandal. There was no way he wasn't going to win the leadership.

We place so much of our long-term vision into people who can't even look three months ahead.

Also, PP's response to security clearance questions makes no sense:

Asked about why he hasn’t obtained his top secret security clearance, Poilievre reiterated his position that doing so would muzzle him.

Not having security clearance means that Poilievre can’t look at sensitive information, such as details of the foreign intelligence report. All other party leaders have obtained the security clearances.

“What I will not commit to is the oath of secrecy that the Liberals want to impose on me,” he said, adding that a security clearance would mean getting “breadcrumbs” of intelligence without being able to publicly discuss details of security briefings.

A completely avoidable own goal. There is no defence the Conservatives can present to this. I'm embarrassed.

That's not to say the Liberals haven't been without scandal for the last 9 years - far from it. But the Conservatives were unable to get ahead of this because of their own stubbornness, or worse, because they allowed a foreign nation to meddle in their politics.

This election will be an even larger majority win for the Liberals than 2015.
