I'm just speaking to the Flames schedule.
The Blues will do what they'll do.
I don't see the Avs throwing games though. And certainly not MacKinnon who'll want to put his statistical stamp down on this season.

Flames play the Kings on the last night, along with 6 other games... Canucks play Vegas the night before who will also be resting all their stars...

Just win your games and you get in. Can’t look at the schedule for schedules wins and losses.

I still can't believe the Devils lost another 2 points after having a seemingly comfortable lead in the 3rd lol. So bad...

Easy to believe when you see they have Markstrom in net.
“I suck at hockey” way to give your team confidence

Night night, Utah.

Its the last game of the regular season added after it was postponed earlier...the Kings and Flames seasons would have already been over if not added
Flames have an easier schedule than Vancouver based on opponents records and IMO a couple of the Flames hard games wont be as tough as they normally would be, not sure what the argument is here

It is sad though to think that this race could already be won if they didn't stink it up head to head against St. Louis and Utah this season.

I’m sure Utah and St. Louis can look back and say we would be rolling if we didn’t stink up some games. That’s why these teams along with us are fighting for 8th. Inconsistent teams.

At this point, I don’t think the toughness of schedule matters too much. Teams that at out of it will now be playing loose and getting boosts from young players getting new opportunities. Also, the flames have been notorious for struggling against bottom feeder teams in important games.

They are going to have to earn it. But if St. louis doesn’t start losing it won’t matter. I think vcr will trip up sooner or later.

Yeah. Guys on barn burner were saying the flames basically need to win 9 of their last 13 games to make the playoffs. That’s a really tough task. Even if they sweep all of the teams that are below them in the standings (really difficult to do), that’s 6 wins. That would mean the flames have to win 3 games against these teams: Dallas, Edmonton, Colorado, Vegas, Minnesota, Vegas and LA.
Like you said, they will have to earn it. The oath to the playoffs is there. The flames control their own destiny. Edmonton is without Draisaitl and McDavid. Vegas and LA might be resting their star players in the last 2 games of the season.

If the isles win their games in hand, the devils are only 3 points ahead with 10 to play (one of those against each other). That would be a collapse for the ages if they didn't make it.

95 points seems high IMO, but nobody knows what it will take...including those guys

NHL should just use points percentage if we are gonna have teams with 3-4 games in hand. Like it would take a week of losing for the Flames to actually be 4 back of the blues
