It definitely feels like more of an arms race this trade deadline.

Last year draft picks were at a premium, think of the 2nds we got as 1sts in typical years and I can rest a bit easier.

Three things in life are guaranteed. Death, taxes, and Treliving trading a first.

This is a Treliving special here. Laughton on Saturday with 9:50 of ice time and a minus 2. That's not first round pick caliber stuff haha. A very Brouwer esque trade?

I like to laugh at the Leafs as much (or more) as anyone, and so far, so not good, but way too early to judge the trade (although I do think they overpaid). Still, Minten could have given them what Laughton is currently.

A first round pick is steep for a guy that's playing 12 minutes a night for them with a zero statline after six games. If he doesn't show his worth in the playoffs it's another Treliving special. NHL GM's have long been guilty of overvaluing players like this.

Thankfully he didn’t saddle us with this bum before running away to Toronto.

I think last game Laughton got demoted to the 4th line and as a winger. When he was brought in to be the solution as a 3C. Indeed, Treliving special.

8 games 0 points -5 5 shots on net lol. Plays 12 minutes a game. What was the point of this grade.

The Leafs forgot to hide Treliving's cell phones TDL day.

Some teams decide to trade for guys like Claude Giroux, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Brad Marchand at the trade deadline.

Treliving goes for Jarnkrok, Lyubushkin, and Laughton.

I'll let you guess at which team has had more success in the post-season.

Hey you can’t forget Forbort, Lazar, Gustafsson, Fatanberg.

I loved how he would downplay the TDl and July 1st and would be the first ones overspending for both.

It's literally what Treliving does every year he's in contention. Bleeds assets for depth.

Hoping he is just having trouble with Berube's system. But he's looked bad so far.

Pretty sure all those players had a NMC and basically chose their team. Brad Marchand went for a conditional second for a reason. Kind of disingenuous to make it sound like he just doesn't want the good players.

And Jarnkrok and Lyubushkin was Dubas. Unless Treveling traded for those same guys with the Flames. Which kind of just shows all NHL GMs are stupid.

Lyubushkin was Treliving last year.

He traded a 2nd 3rd and 7th for Jarnkrok. He gave us 0 goals.
