There is the old line about goalies where nobody knows, let jeebus sort them out.
I do think the fact that goalies want to sign here means Sigalet and the team they’ve built have to be doing something right. For all the fan grief around that guy either he learned and improved or got the resources he needed. If the team can grow them and not have to sign a big UFA contract someone’s doing their job.

Wranglers: Cooley & Sergeev (if he signs)/Say/other entry-level prospect
ECHL: Say/other similar level prospect & ECHL signing
I would be shocked if Sergeev doesn't sign with the Flames. There is a path to the NHL for him and it could be quite fast if he adjusts well to the professional game.

I'm curious who else was on his shortlist. Nothing is ever set in stone, but it is looking like Wolf will have the number 1 spot locked down for a while.
He and Notre Dame recently beat the #5 team in the country, Minnesota in a 3 game conference playoff series. Say gave up just 6 goals in those 3 games, all on the road, stopping 99 shots in those 3 games
They then lost to #2 Michigan State in the Conference finals 1-0. Say stopped 45 shots
Looks like he did his job. He should fit in good on the Flames considering they can’t score goals either. One team off his shoulders. Replace with the Flames.
