From watching his play since before the 4 Nations break, I think he has been playing hurt for a while, so that hit probably did enough to push him over the line.

Got a taste, sees what he needs to do at this level, back to the AHL to learn.
That feels incredibly misleading. I watched him pretty closely. Also its a small sample size, and those are more prone to extremes and anomalies. Also put up 4 points in 4 games and a period before getting the hook. Small sample size also applies there, but I saw some great things from him. Looked effective on the PP too.

He showed NHL level instincts offensively on a number of plays. He seems to know where to be and has the vision to see plays developing.

Shelter him, but he's also a player the team could actually use.

Probably more effective than Sharangovich is right now.

Backlund skating this morning.

Flames 3-2-0 since he went down, way better than I expected.

Also I read somewhere yesterday that Weegar is expected to play tomorrow.

Backlund not only skating but skating on his line with Farabee & Coleman apparently. Sharangovich taking the place of Pospisil who didn't skate today (maintenance).

This has to be considered good news for Backlund who could be back tomorrow (my guess) and Sharangovich could be a scratch given his placement today.

Huska said this during the post game interview on the Fan. Said he expects him to play.

To me his PPG was a little misleading. He was in on two Pelletier goals super early in his first game (one his first shift). Three of his four points are secondary assists. And aside from that he got filled in possession wise.

I agree it's a small sample size - both ways.

Great news on Backs, I just hope they're not bring him back too early.

As for Sharingovich, at the moment, a blind dog on roller skates would be more effective. Keep Hunt in and let him sit.
