It absolutely can’t be overstated how much this team is overachieving. Patchwork defense, plugs like Hunt on the 3rd line, it’s honestly mind boggling.
Let’s ride this train to the playoffs and see what happens. Bring in Parekh for the playoffs and go on a miracle run.
Face it, this is the Flames way!

Any thoughts on Farabee in Sharangovich out?
Huska seems to have a few players in a pseudo dog house. Pachal being one. But I don’t get why Sharangovich gets a free pass when he’s floating around.

Sharangovich makes 5.75 per. That's why.
I want to see Kerins up again, but with how much they seem to love Klapper's size and are too shy to sit Sharky, I don't see a landing spot for him. And it sucks. He is talent, which we need.

I thought Farabee was injured, not a healthy scratch.

Multiple big wins in the last few weeks. Awesome to see. Fun to watch. Great experience for the young guys. This run will pay huge dividends.

They can make a total of 4 regular recalls from the AHL after the trade deadline, and unlimited emergency recalls. They can only make an emergency recall if an injury drops their roster below 12 forwards, 6 defencemen, or 2 goalies.
Because of Backlund's injury, they may have been able to classify Hunt's recall as an emergency. If they could, they still have 3 regular recalls left (Klapka being the first of 4). If Hunt's wasn't an emergency, they have 2 regular recalls left.
In the playoffs, the rule changes slightly, where you can make an unlimited number of regular recalls, but can only have 4 recalled players on your roster at a time. This only applies if your AHL team is still playing. If their season is done, you can have as many Black Aces around as you want.
This limit only applies to AHL recalls, you can also bring in players from junior or college once their seasons are over if they are under an NHL contract. For example, if Saginaw or Shawinigan get eliminated from the playoffs quickly, Parekh and/or Gridin could potentially be brought in to bolster either the Flames or Wranglers.

Oh that makes sense.
I think you keeping running Sharky out there in hopes he gets hot. But I suspect this season is just a write off.

Hunt, Rooney and Klapka all in, up front, with Miromanov, Hanley, Pachal and Bean all in on the back end, plus playing the backup.
Fourth game in 6 nights, on the road.
No problem.

Sharangovich is struggling, but with the injuries they have, they have no choice but to keep playing him and hope he gets hot for a while.

I think we're seeing the result of a tight knit group on the same page.
That's something that consistently comes up in interviews.
Even if they're half made of spare parts, they're a unit and are all committed to the cause.
Except for Sharky.
It's very 2015, but F it.. this is fun. Let's see where this creaky wagon takes us.

That's pretty much right. Sharangovich is playing badly, but the Wranglers have been catastrophically bad. No help is coming from there, and even a bad player is better than an empty spot on the bench.

I didn't mind Hunt today at all...thought he was fine, brought good energy and only saw one "ugh" moment.
Bit of a surprise to see Miro out in the OT...but maybe a reward for being steady in the back end and the goal the other day?
