Hopefully she will get measles, whooping cough and gonorrhea when she goes see Ben Shapiro.
Then it will be money well spent by us.

Smith must think Carney is going to win the next federal election
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...mith-1.7488173
The Alberta government says it will propose amendments to the Critical Infrastructure Defence Act that it says would act as a repellent against "unconstitutional federal overreach," but it remains unclear how enforcement of those measures would play out in practice.
Alberta's Critical Infrastructure Defence Act was first introduced in 2020 as a response to#rail blockade protesters, aiming to protect essential "infrastructure," such as pipelines, highways and railways, making it illegal to block, damage or interfere with those sites.
We will not tolerate the continuous, unconstitutional overreaches made by the federal Liberal government."
The intent of the Alberta Sovereignty Act is to allow the province to declare federal laws unconstitutional or harmful, while issuing orders to provincial entities to not comply with federal rules.

Carney should impose a Danielle Smith carbon tax for every time she speaks. Just so she understands what actual unfairness is.

I wonder what happens this time?

I don’t think the second one happened. The money put toward orphan wells by government has been very small. The bulk of the money put into the orphan well fund is industry cleaning up after failed companies.
This on the surface looks like a method to get the public to underwrite the problem rather than taxing industry.

Smith believes that the threat that Trump represents to Alberta and Canada is equal to the "threat" to Alberta from Ottawa.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s government signed a $70-million deal to import children’s pain relief medication from Turkey in 2022 despite expert advice that the province ask Ottawa to take the lead to avoid the risk of a “significant net loss of funds,” according to briefing documents obtained by The Globe and Mail.
Briefing notes prepared by Alberta Health officials in November, 2022, for then-health minister Jason Copping and Ms. Smith outlined three options to import five million bottles of pediatric ibuprofen and acetaminophen from Atabay Pharmaceuticals amid a North American shortage for children’s pain relievers. The documents detailed the downsides of each path.
The government chose the riskiest option: to sign a deal to import medicine before receiving regulatory clearance from Health Canada, despite warnings that the province could be left on the hook for a product that would no longer be needed or would not be approved.
It explained at the time that Alberta signed a contract for five million bottles – roughly eight times the province’s annual demand, according to figures presented in the briefing documents – because it was the minimum purchase order set by the supplier.

Oh look, the person who was elected while saying they wouldn't listen to experts anymore didn't listen to experts, and, hold on to your pants here, shockingly taxpayers got screwed. Man, if only there was some warning about how stupid this person was before being elected. Maybe next time, eh?

the long-awaited Canada Disability Benefit will start in a few months. It is only $200/month but that would certainly make a helpful supplement to the approx $1800 / month available on AISH. So many AISH recipients are struggling these days with utilities, rent, transportation costs
EXCEPT Minister Jason Nixon has announced that Alberta will consider the Federal benefit as "income" which will be clawed back from the AISH recipient if they receive it.
I am disgusted how this government treats the most vulnerable of Albertans

So essentially the Alberta government is stealing from the disabled to reduce their own program costs using federal money. Thanks again..., well, you know the drill.

AHS has, or had it's hand in so many healthcare initiatives, because that was it's job. Now that AHS has been relegated to acute care, all those things either have to land in a new silo,or, as we are seeing, disappear. This is cutting healthcare, no matter how they try to spin it. Albertans will be worse off for no benefit. And we knew she was going to do this.

Getting a little big for your britches there, Danielle. ####in' premiers. You elect them once and they think they run the country. You want to be PM? Go run for it(please don't though). Until then, stay in your lane.

That statement sure is a lot of words to say Danielle Smith covered her ears, and stamped her feet a lot.

Bring on the national unity crisis because the Environment Minister made a commitment today that caps are not going away.

Mark Carney will maintain oil and gas production cap, environment minister says
Environment Minister Terry Duguid says a Mark Carney government will maintain a cap on oil and gas production.
In an interview with The Canadian Press, Duguid says Canada wants the energy but not the pollution that comes with its production.
The Liberals introduced draft regulations back in November that require producers to cut emissions by about one-third over the next eight years.
