They definitely won't be a good team. Darnold is not a good QB and even though I really like Cupp he is getting old. Valdes-Scantling could be decent but I don't see Darnold getting much out of him.

Valdes-Scantling is purely a go route specialist...but he does it very well.

Classic 2 catches for 98 yards statline player.

I wonder if Burrow had to loan the Brown family the money to pay the signing bonuses.

Looks like Rodgers won't be following in Favre's footsteps after all

This is the right move as Rodgers is not the veteran presence you want your young and hopefully franchise QB to learn the ropes from.

Pittsburgh or bust for Rodgers. Hard to imagine you could downgrade from Russ but somehow here we are

Considering their receiver room is filled with one route guys, and those guys all happen to run the deep route, it's kind of odd to not bring Russ back. Much as he sucks at basically everything he's still elite at the deep ball.

the worst part is how willing they are to degrade themselves by patiently waiting for a 41-year-old to make a decision. How a franchise can be this headless for so many years when it comes to the sport's most important position is beyond me.

rumor is that he and Arthur Smith didn't get along at all. Shocking, I know.

Raiders should be shopping Aidan O'Connell to the Steelers. He's outplayed Garoppolo and Minshew in successive seasons and while the ceiling is low, the floor is higher than what's left out there and I would argue he's better than Fields. I didn't love the Raiders getting Smith but at least it's kind of a plan compared to what the Steelers are doing.

O'Connell is a competent back up though, decent backup is gonna run you $8-10 million per. I probably wouldn't trade him unless you can get value for him (5th?).

Fields is on the Jets now, so he's a non-factor in all of this. That said, I will laugh my ass off if the Jets wind up with a better record under Fields than they did under Rodgers.

I am very happy that Seattle didn't make room for A-Aron.

Dude is dusted and needs to ride off into the Anti-vaxx sunset.

It's very possible if Glenn can get the defense up to speed as that's a big upgrade on its own. The Jets defense was a top 5 unit but tanked after Saleh was fired.

I'd be surprised if they didn't finish with a better record. I think Glenn has assembled a nice coaching staff, and if the defense can get its act together, they should be able to do well. Especially now that the drama is over ... there's probably also a lot less pressure than with Rodgers.

I still like Fields and I'm pissed he's not a Steeler going forward. Just give him structure and let him play to his strengths.
