Expecting a big game out of Coronato, who likely has family and friends following him around on this part of the road trip.

Think it's a combination of a couple things.

- Tougher section of the schedule
- Some injuries to areas that lack depth (Bahl, Zary, and Backlund)
- Other teams stepping up their game after the break and the Flames just didnt' have another gear.

So I think it's a .500 team that's facing more of a blip to be more in that .420 range.

Some around here are so easily rattled. They win tonight, they could be right back in a playoff spot. String a little streak together, they could start pulling away. Lamenting the success in what has been a pretty exciting season that now features meaningful March hockey is so weird to me.

Definitely a tougher section of the schedule. Just to show a contrast:
- December was a super friendly schedule for the Flames with lots of home games and the road games were all in the West.
- March is mostly road games and the majority of those games are in the East and there are more back-to-back games this month.

Also, 2 months ago we would have been happy to see the "bottom 10" Rangers in the schedule. Now they have fought their way back into the playoffs and are not likely to be an easy game for the Flames.

For the tank club. I think someone mentioned above that they just need to keep doing what they have been doing for the last few games to get there. Score 2 goals or less. Let in 3 goals or more. Crappy special teams.

Only thing they could possibly do to help is score on their own net.

I know I am one of those and by my own admission I bitch and moan after every loss. I assure you though I am not happy.

I would give almost anything to experience another 04 run.

If the Flames lose at least 2 of the next 3, I think they'll go back to splitting starts between Wolf & Vladar.

Maybe/hopefully call Cooley up for a 3-way split as a reward for his early season dominance.

I'm tired of the decades of Flames mediocrity. Let's properly tank and build a contender. I know some others feel the same way.
Problem with that plan. A big percentage of posters here might be dead before that plan plays out.

Just ask Bedard’s therapist.

If the concern is how long it takes to rebuild, this faux retool but stay competitive thing is just prolonging it.
