McKennas point streak is now 38 games, he's only 4 behind Cristall now. That 3 game suspension might have screwed him hard.

Canes get Gustafson back last night but still lose at home to the Hitmen. I'd say they are pretty much locked in to the 4th seed now and it's a two horse race between Calgary and Med Hat for 1st.

I've talked to a few peeps who are disappointed that the Canes went all in for this year because they're going to lose in the 1st round anyway. Par for the course for this fanbase... and this franchise too for that matter.

Yeah they went ALL in for sure. They have nearly no picks left in the 1st 5 rounds of the bantam draft for the next 4 years.
I think they'll win a round at least though. They have home ice in that round and will be facing either Brandon, Saskatoon, PA or maybe Edmonton. If they don't win a 7 game series against any of those teams it will certainly be a failure for them.
Unless there is a massive upset, round 2 and 3 will most likely be Med Hat and Calgary, not sure which order. Obviously not going to be easy to win either of those series but I certainly wouldn't count them out.

Hitmen win streak looks to be coming to an end in Edmonton today. Down 7-3 with a couple minutes left.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure with that loss just now by the Hitmen that the Tigers control their own destiny meaning if they win their remaining two games, they take the Central.. Tigers play next Saturday against Lethbridge at home and then versus the Hitmen in Calgary next Sunday to close out the season.

That was the worst game I've seen from the Hitmen this year and should wrap up the conference for the Tigers.

Oh not so fast. Hitmen still have a game in hand and they play it Wednesday against the Rebels, win that and they are tied with the Tigers in points.
Tigers will then play the Hurricanes on Saturday, while the Hitmen play the Rebels again. Then they play each other on Sunday. Still many ways for the Hitmen to come out on top.

Everett locked up the Scotty Munro trophy as WHL regular season champs this past weekend. Odds are it will be a battle between Spokane and Everett to see who comes out of the West which if it does indeed come to pass should be a heck of a series.

I should add that Everett will be missing top draft prospect Carter Bear for the playoffs as he recently suffered a lacerated Achilles. That's a tough blow to the Silvertips.

I didn't realize Tulk had gotten hurt, not sure if he'll be back for the playoffs or not. Maybe Flickered Flame knows? Tough loss for sure

He was listed as week to week but that lasted a week, now he's day to day.

I've heard that CL28 might be in Med Hat very soon to start practicing with the Tigers and if things go well could potentially return if the Tigers get to round 2.

With the intensity of playoff hockey, I'm surprised that Columbus would "allow" Cayden to suit up for the Tigers, but hey, maybe it's Lindstrom's decision to make and if he wants to play, that's fine by me.

With the win last night, Daniel Hauser is now the all-time wins leader in the history of the WHL.

Interesting that just like Dustin Wolf, he's a shorter goalie (hockeydb lists him at 5'11" tall).

Canes locked into 4th
Broncos locked into 8th
Oil Kings look to be locked into 7th
Hitmen and Tigers locked into 1st and 3rd
Really looking like it's going to be a central team vs an east in every series of the 1st round.
Hitmen/Tigers vs. Broncos
Blades/Wheaties/Raiders vs. Oil Kings
Hitmen/Tigers vs. Blades/Wheaties/Raiders
Hurricanes vs. Blades/Wheaties/Raiders
