A couple of months ago, I used to see cybertrucks on the road here pretty much daily. I am pretty sure there were at least 2 on my street and another near my kid's school who used to drop off their kid in one.
I have seen any of them lately. I imagine it's become such a symbol of shame for some people.

In Canada, cybertrucks range from between $115k to $142k.
Imagine spending that much money on crap like that. I assume people who bought them have too much money anyway, so I don't feel sorry for them. Most of them were probably buying it as a status symbol as well.

I think the one I saw here lives by me. Last year November I believe I saw one at the Starbucks drive through and laughed. On my way home I saw it parked on the side with the emergency lights on lol.
The pictures don’t do it justice. You need to see it in person just to see how hideous and cheap it looks. The top of it looks like those trash cans in the bathrooms you see.
Wait, so you're saying that people are going to start dismantling them with their bare hands when they're left out on the street unattended? That's a shame.

But I don't support demonizing people who already own a Tesla. The company itself has done some really good things and they do have some compelling vehicles.
No they don't. They're garbage. Given the price it's staggering how poor quality they are.
Where do these people get the money for this? Did they buy that Cybertruck just to tear the hell out of it?
Those things are expensive!
If you run a popular YouTube channel as a business / your sole source of income, the purchase of the Cybertruck for the purpose of making content with it (even by way of destroying it) is a tax write-off.

I only have one Youtuber as a client and write-off or not, he doesnt make nearly enough money to afford a Cybertruck just to wreck it, but I clearly dont know how much some of these guys make.

He has 9million subscribers, so the estimates based on his views are anything from 200k to 2.7 mil USD a year.

Maybe they steal them, safe in the knowledge their owners are too embarrassed to report the crime.

And again, I hate Tesla for reasons even beyond the Nazi, but Hitler did sort of create Volkswagen, no?
Life is complicated and evil people can have done great things too. Supporting Tesla now puts money in Elon's pockets as he owns significant shares. But I don't support demonizing people who already own a Tesla. The company itself has done some really good things and they do have some compelling vehicles.
I don't know that I'd classify mid-range car companies as "great things". Especially in the face of Nazi Germany and the fall of America.
The world would be just fine without VW or Tesla or Puma or Hugo Boss etc... someone else would make those things.
