I believe he also stated that Parekh will need to be given the freedom offensively to do what he is great at in the NHL. I don't really think we need to worry about Parekh playing with a short leash and with handcuffs on.
Yep. Huska has also said the same things. Just very very hard to have a creative offense.........without creative offensive players.

I wouldn't be worried one iota that Huska would try to stifle any creative play by Zayne next season. If anything the team is starving for it.

Don't know why there's such high confidence here in what huska would or wouldn't do.

Is he your brother in law? How do you know.

Because both the GM and coach are on the same page and have stated as much.

If you are a creative offensive player, go do your thing in the offensive zone. Pretty simple. Unfortunately the Flames are near the bottom of the league when it comes to the quantity of creative offensive players. Close to zero. One day that will change, but today isn't that day. Currently they just have to try to scrape by with what they have, which isn't much.

If the stars align, we should have a Bonafide #1 G in Wolf, and a Bonafide #1 D-man in Parekh.

Are we going to be able to get a top line again like Johnny-Lindholm-Tkachuk at the same time?

Here's to hoping.

Thank you for explaining the joke that we all got before you explained it.

You must be a big hit at parties.

Because he’s composed, mature, knows what he’s talking about, and we’ve seen nearly a decade of him in the organization, as well as with the Rockets where he ran a powerhouse program.

Ryan Huska is a good coach.

He has the lowest payroll in the league, a rookie goalie, a backup who’s statistically been the worst regular tendie in the league the last two years, the worst contract in the sport, and a 34 year old #2C as his #1C.

When Kuzmenko had the PP humming last year, he put Kuzmenko out a ton.

When Sharky was scoring 30, Sharky ate.

I’ve yet to see Flames players pass up opportunities or avoid trying to make skill plays because they are cowtowing to Huska’s system.

But every night, I do see a team that just doesn’t have the horses to make the elite plays some of these other teams can.

Is that the coach’s fault?

If the Flames managed to sneak into the top-10, would you trade next years 1st ++ straight up with no protections if it meant getting Misa?

Probably not, I think our team gets worse next year.

But I was also talking about our Misa. One can hope.

I think they’ll be worse as well, but as we are seeing this year, they have an elite goalie who could complicate that - if you can secure a centre like Misa now, I think that’s a deal I make.

Imagine adding Parekh and Misa to the roster in the same year.

If everyone else took a 5% step back, I think they’d still push for playoffs adding those two to this group

I'd trade unprotected 2026 + Brzustewicz if it was a guarantee we'd get Misa.

Misa centering lines 1 & 3 in the future.
