Dinos vs. Vikes in the Usports Men's Basketball National Final

Folks, just a heads up that the Calgary Dinos Men's Basketball team has made it all the way to the championship game and will take on the University of Victoria Vikes on Sunday.

The game starts at 1 PM Pacific time (2 PM Mountain) and CBC will be broadcasting it (available on CBC Gem as well).

Just looking at the numbers, looks like Vic was unbeaten all year until the Dinos beat them in the Canada West final.

They were a basketball powerhouse before I went to college. I remember going to games at the old red gym at UofC as a kid and they were unbeatable. Except they were the Vikings and Vikettes (cringe).

Dinos getting taken to the woodshed by Victoria, terrible shooting, not rebounding at either end of the floor, it's pretty ugly at the moment.

The Dinos were missing a couple of key players for the championship game, but I don't know how much of a difference it would have made. Vikes were just all over them from the opening tip and were relentless on defense.
