The CFL has fallen on bad times. They can't make a new building work, and I don't blame the city for not wanting to build one.

The Stamps may be well down the list in budget split now.
Stamps are still a big part of the community. They should find local ownership for the team. I know it’s hard but markets like BC and Hamilton have done it.

What happened to the guy selling pillows who wanted to buy the Flames lol.

That loss on Wednesday stings so much more now.
VAN and CGY are exactly tied right now: 65 GP, 30 W / 24 L / 11 OTL = 71 pts CGY GD -21 / VAN GD -20

Chicago may upset VAN. So long as they lose one or both of these back-to-back games, we'll have games in hand at least.

Remember, VAN had two games before the CGY game and lost both.

I'm not totally bullish on playoffs**, but I think they still have a good chance. This road trip will likely be the determining factor. I'll be in Deadmonton for the final BoA on Mar 29, I hope this chase remains relevent then.

**With bottom 10 only about 5 pts away I still don't mind the thought of slipping low enough. If the road trip is a disaster that might be a possibility.

All the teams below them would have to start winning at the same time while they lose. They might end up dropping a few spots but I doubt they will drop that much.

I think the Flames draft top ten if Backlund misses 10 games.

Yeah, that'd unfortunately would be rather Flames-y. And I'm sure if there are odds on it, finishing around 13-15 is probably the most logical outcome.

Perhaps we'll be lucky on either side of that spectrum.

What is the likelihood that Backlund misses 10 games?

At at minimum I think he’s out the road trip. It seems like he’s been dealing with something for a bit. That would be 5 games if you count last night.

If we have a bad trip that probably does it for us and no sense rushing him back at that point. I’d rather give Zary and Frost minutes.

Backlund can start early on the golf course waiting for his teammates to join him in early April.

All of the west wildcard teams look like they are going to back into the playoffs.

I think 91 points is where you have to get to. So for each team that would be:

Calgary: 10-7
Vcr: 10-7
St. Louis: 11-5
Utah: 11-5

Think that’s a stretch for all of them. Maybe it’ll be 89.

89 points for any playoff team is pretty bad. What’s next teams with losing records making it in. NBA eastern conference enters the chat

We should have a pool to decide how many points we get out of this final East Road trip of the season. I agree it would seem like this is the make it or break it moment of the season.

I’m not counting them out yet but I think our style with injuries will catch up.

Just how ugly that chase is for the last wild card spot I think 5 points keeps us in the race.

In Andersson's case there were apparently teams lowballing Conroy thinking they were doing him a favour.

Would you rather they trade him now for an underwelming return when they don't have to or wait until the summer and see what the offers are then? I know which one I would take.

I raise you Fernie's land development vs Panorama/Revelstoke. One of those three sold zero lots.

...theres a theme

I guarantee the ones wanting him traded NOW would be the first to complain if the return was underwhelming.

If they don’t win at least 2 of 4 I think they’ll be finished for the last wildcard.
