I hate them with a passion and also can’t support threatening messages like that. It has only one effect - emboldening then further and making the opposition look unhinged.

Playing by the polite society rule hasn't worked and won't work. We need to stop pretending we're in the world we grew up in.

It's just inevitable. It's not really a "want". If we're going to talk about what we WANT to happen it would be for all these people to either completely change their minds or go away. But there's a lot of people losing their jobs, and a lot of those people have guns. More people are going to get shot. I would be very surprised if we don't see attempts at Musk. I'm sure there will be attempts on Trump too, but he's probably more secure than ever, I doubt anything gets far enough to be newsworthy.
The thing is, it's a long list of s*** as noted about. It's not just take one person out and all will be right. Every next person in line is a gigantic POS.

Yeah, I’m not in favour of killing people. I’m against political violence, and violence altogether, personally.

There are MAGA people on this site, and in this thread. They are often rational in other parts of their lives. I recommend viewing this to understand how they've been indoctrinated and brainwashed.
1) Economic uncertainty stemming from the pandemic spending causing inflation. Those were mostly your swing state voters, and have now mostly been lost due to the collapsing economy. You can see Trump's approval ratings are now under water. These were the "hold your nose and vote for the GOP" people who have buyers remorse. These are the people globally who are voting every incumbant out of office (right or left).
2) The "hardcore" MAGA. Mostly not born racist, but came to it through a diet of Fox News, and Social Media. Makes the point (with footage of a KGB defector) on how Russia is able to use access provided via social media to radicalize over decades the uneducated American voter.
