3-7-0 in their last ten if they keep playing at this pace they will go 5-12-1 in their last 18 and finish with 88 points.
Please let this happen.

Their schedule is pretty soft to end though. They get the sharks 3 times....
Kraken twice
Ducks and Utah once each

Random Question...
Is Nuge the worst player ever to have a 100 point season?

It affected marner. What happens when these players find out that they were being shopped?
Also to add, I don’t think 2 of these players gets the trade for rantanen done.

Seriously, Nurse with his contract isn't a big piece anymore, Nor is RNH, . Maybe Hyman but it looks like the game is catching up to him. To say nice things he plays hard, and that wears down players.
None of those would be a starting piece for a guy like Rantanan, and the Oilers have next to no prospects that are high end trade bait and forget about draft picks.
Even with McDavid and Draisaitl, the Oilers look like a badly constructed and poorly managed team, that is probably going to exit the McDavid and Draisaitl era without winning a single cup. And then go through a decade of hell that makes the last decade of hell look like a walk in the park.
If their window slams shut next year, they don't have the assets to really improve their team. Not a lot of money for free agents, no draft picks or prospects to improve their lineup.
And now in a year when they were supposed to finally climb that mountain, they're falling down the mountain like a drunk mountain goat, while the other contenders got super serious and improved on already being good clubs.

If Edmonton calls asking what it would take to get Rantanen, the answer is Draisaitl. I'm not saying the Oilers agree (obviously they wouldn't), but he is the only comparable asset they have that is in the same ballpark/universe.
If you're throwing out Nuge and Nurse, you're getting laughed at.

Totally agree on cap’n and Enoch Root’s posts above. I also thought pissy however I can’t see that happening either.
They don’t have the draft capital or the salary cap room or the prospects to throw into a trade or backfill roster gaps.
They probably suggested Kane as the phone call was ending.
I just don’t know how the Oilers were even part of the Rantanen conversation.

Sutter wasn’t fired he quit because he felt he wasn’t seeing his daughter enough. That is when the Flames fired Keenan and the Flames had an opening and he ended up here to put us to sleep.

I am certain they weren't. All media fluff. All sportsnet media fluff, that is.

Never seen a team suffer from as much FOMO as the Oilers….. “hey look at us, we are elite and players should want to be here to sit and watch Mavi and Pissy play”

Look at what Carolina got. Vegas doesn’t even have 25 or 26 picks so it would have been 27 and 28 plus more picks and do they even have prospects ? Florida traded all their picks away. Based of his preferred teams it was Dallas that only had what Carolina wanted. Not sure why the Edmonton media needs to make stuff up. Ryan Rishaub should be fired.

The best part about the impending implosion is that the Oilers will deliberately attempt to tank for the #1 pick again.
Because it worked last time! Winning lotteries puts you over the top!

makes that recent article out of Edmonton, where they suggest he might be a hall of fame player even better. Also what a great playoff player, really knows how to elevate his game and play physical.

He is up there. I think the "worst" player to have a 100 point season was Rob Brown. The guy had hands but his overall game wasn't good enough for the NHL. He needed to be with Mario Lemieux in order to put up points.
At least the Nug can play the game on his own merit but that 100 point season was a fluke.
