Probably played 3C on a stacked Cougars team. Hopefully plays up the lineup next season.

I look at him as one of those long-term development guys due to his size. Anybody know if he had a recent growth-spurt? Given that someone in the last few posts that watched him play felt he was like Bambi on the ice, wouldn't surprise me if he took some time to really grow into his body. Will be interesting to track his development.

Can't remember if it was Conroy or Button, but they alluded to that fact that the scouts were on the fence with Hunter, and Iggy vouched for him saying he's a good kid, comes from a good family and that he'll take the kid under his wing so to speak.
I guess we'll see what happens. Obviously a long shot here.

Hunter Laing has been named WHL player of the week - He's been pretty good for the Blades since been acquiring at the WHL trade deadline.

Almost a PPG since being traded with 13g in 21. For a 6th rounder? Not too shabby!

Like most big tall guys his first step isn't great but he's plenty fast once he gets going, his balance and edges are actually very good for a big man.

WHL Player of the Week in a league with Cristall, Catton, Mckenna, and others? Deeecent. Even if he's a long-shot/long-term project it's nice to see progression like this. Keep it up!

He looked really good when I watched him a couple weeks ago. He was definitely the best Blades player on the ice that night.
