Uh oh, he just tweeted out some more nonsense.
Quote:
Why would our Country allow another Country to supply us with electricity, even for a small area? Who made these decisions, and why? And can you imagine Canada stooping so low as to use ELECTRICITY, that so affects the life of innocent people, as a bargaining chip and threat? They will pay a financial price for this so big that it will be read about in History Books for many years to come!

I agree. It needs to end.
I don’t see escalation bringing it to an end. I see negotiations bringing it to an end.
I really do not like the idea of cutting off the electricity. That is getting much closer to an act of war, not just a trade war.

Terrible thought. Trump just changes the boundaries and does what he wants anyway. First he said it was about fentanyl ,which was BS, and then about NATO commitments. He'll just change the goalposts if you try to negotiate, which we already did.

Still waiting for Congress to decide enough is enough and take away his tariff power because none of this stupidity has anything to do with the so called fentanyl issue he is using to make his national security excuse.

I don’t know politics or levels of government but part of me wishes that one person (the PM) negotiate with the bastard. Ford getting involved seems to complicate things all things Canada. Would be nice if other countries stepped up and hurt Trump collectively. It’s now becoming utterly stupid and I still don’t get how anyone stays loyal after seeing him act dumb.

The "Canada stooping so low" part actually made me laugh out loud. All we did was raise the price a little bit.
Also him suddenly pretending to care about the lives of innocent people is hilarious, especially ones in blue states.

The issue with this is that Ford is the one guy with the political stability to beat his chest. He just got re-elected - he doesn't need to walk any tightropes or win anyone over to his side, and he can say what he thinks. Every federal politician, including the new PM, is trying to win an election that is about to be called. That handcuffs them to an extent.

Trump also said the only way to end the tariffs is to become the 51st state. Says we can even keep our national anthem, just have to change some words.

Where did he say this?
EDIT: If you're referring to the truth social post he didn't quite say exactly this but I agree that this is the intent. I was just wondering if he'd said something elsewhere.

Also, notice he didn't mention fentanyl once in his last two tweets regarding Canada. He's now back to his completely fabricated "$200 billion" trade deficit number and that he's mad that we don't pay enough for NATO.

Let's pretend for a moment that it is NATO. That means it is NOT a border security issue. Meaning they need to end IEEPA, and Congress takes over the tariff issue.

They are stupid. And many them also don’t pay attention; they just vote like it’s a religion.

He's been saying that since he was sworn in. He definitely wants to try and squeeze us economically to the point where we might eventually give up and say "ok, we'll join you." But I think we're a strong enough country and we're resilient and innovative enough that I don't think that would ever work.
And he's also severely damaging his own economy at the same time, which is why he keeps rolling back some of the tariffs and doing these 30-day pauses over and over again.

How do you negotiate with someone who continually moves the goalposts. We had a trade deal that he called the best deal and he just disregarded it. There are mechanisms in the deal to deal with disputes and it was coming up to renegotiate . You negotiate with your allies not try to bring them to their knees to " annex" them.
Trump wants us to bend over and take it without resistance and unfortunately we have Smith who is bent over and not even clenching

And because of that everyone is still treating it like trolling when it isn't.
Anyway, even the echo chambers are sounding a little less enthused this morning... https://www.reddit.com/r/Conservativ...anadian_steel/

I've never seen that much dissent allowed on r/conservative.
They usually start snuffing it out calling it 'brigading'.
