That's a good point but at the end of the day money talks. He won't get UFA overpayment in Florida and if that's his priority, I could see Tre throwing stupid money at him.

There is a good chance Bennett gets overpaid is the reason I could see him moving...after Marner who else is potentially out there??

honestly both guys would be crazy not to test the market. I'm not sure why Marner would stay, he is often their best forward but takes so much heat in the media and from fans its ridiculous.

Some teams will swing and miss with Marner and circle to these guys and instantly regret the deals.
Bennetts style wont age well. Ehlers is 29 and having a career year right before UFA.

He’s a good fit and I’m sure the team will be aching to use some cap space.

I'd be totally okay going after Boeser in the off-season, as long as it means there's a plan for the right side that includes eventually moving Coleman. Start next year with Zary at centre permanently, then run with a centre lineup of Kadri/Zary/Frost/Backlund and a right side of Coronato/Boeser/Coleman/Pospisil. Rooney doesn't return.
Move Coleman and Backlund at next year's trade deadline (possibly even Pospisil depending on his play), and give those spots to players from the farm.
