Lack of talent and style of play is why we are 32nd in offence.

If they open it up a bit Wolf is going to make the big saves, he makes them anyways.

The LA Kings are an outlier, but they also had elite players who could get you a goal when needed to play the way they did.

That doesn't make your hyperbole any more accurate, but your commitment to the cause is certainly impressive.

Have the goalies been great? Absolutely. But the way fans completely ignore how committed the team is to defensive paly, is just baffling. People see what they want to see, and since the Flames aren't scoring, the team and the coach must be terrible at all things. However, a big reason why they are 32nd offensively, is their complete team commitment to defense.

Goaltending, team defense, and work ethic. Those are the 3 things driving this team.
95% goaltending but yes the other things help too.

If you stick an average goalie on this team, we are battling for bottom 3.

And yet...if you plunk a genuine goal-scorer? We'd likely be comfortably in the playoffs.

This season has been unadulterated madness!

2 posters making the same post 100 times a day is fun

Flames dominated the first half of the game, their guy kept them in it. Habs dominated the third and Wolf saved it. Dont have to apologize for good goaltending.

Imagine being this upset about your team having a rookie star

It's almost as if people are allowed to have different opinions on the team!

We scored 1 goal and are the lowest goal scoring team in the league. We are not good, except Hasek level goaltending. That's my opinion.

We get it you say it 100 times a day.

"Hasek level" is wrong though. You lose all credibility when you say that. Hasek won 6 straight Vezinas like get a grip on reality. Wolf wont be a Vezina finaliat let alone win. He is the top rookie goalie and top 10 in the NHL overall though. Nobody is suggesting he isnt awesome.

Montreal had six shots halfway through the game, Flames ran out of gas and Wolf held it down in the 3rd. They came from Dallas and didnt even skate between games.

You may want to have a more current look at the Wranglers. They are imploding and have one win in their last 13 or 14 games. There isn't a centre on that team playing better than even Rooney, let alone Backlund.

You may have noticed that the Suzuki line got shut down last night and it wasn't all because of Wolf.

They’re just not doing what you want. But they are better than 18 other teams. They are accomplishing their goal about getting points. Even the players said it doesn’t matter how you get them.

It doesnt! Beg, borrow or steal points, it doesnt matter how you get them just that you have them!

Possession is nine tenths of the Law!

Should the 2012 Kings give back their cup? They had a lower goals per game than the current Flames.

Without Quick they are nowhere near the playoffs derp

Its almost as if a team wouldnt be as good without their star players (thanks tips)

The Flames don’t have star players outside of Wolf. LA did.

We are punching above our weight class for sure, but you can’t do that every year eventually you get knocked out. We need to find the players to get in that weight class so we can knock some people out. Outside of Parekh we don’t have any dynamic players star potential players coming through the pipeline.

It was an exciting game, and could have easily been 4-0 if we didn't get goaltendered in the 1st. It's a pity some can't just enjoy the team being in the thick of it when they weren't supposed to be, and Wolf rounding into form sure is a relief. There are plenty of players who can light the lamp on this team, and if they all get going at the same time we could make a little run. Kadri, Huberdeau, Zary, Coronato, Sharangovich, Farabee, Frost, Coleman, even Posposil all have 20-30 goal potential talent. I think Coronato is going to be a superstar within 2 years or so...he has great instincts and obviously a deadly shot.

I'm glad to see Farabee start to pot a couple here. That's 3 solid games from him in a row.

At this point for me it's playoffs or bust so I want to see all the players play their best hockey over these last 19 games. Don't see the point about bemoaning how that dastardly little Wolf sabotaged the tank. Chances are a similar team next year probably ends up bottom 10 as abnormalities correct themselves.

I agree with you, En Fuego, about Coronato. His style reminds me of Cammalleri, as many other people have observed. I think he's also a very smart player, with a cerebral approach to the game that reminds me of the young Joe Nieuwendyk. If he clicks with Parekh in a year or two, the sky's the limit.

And this stat came from where, exactly?

Most Flames fans think that Vladar is a below average goalie. But his record os 8-11-6 despite the fact that he is getting most of the toughest opponents, and all of the B2Bs and scheduled losses.

Your 'stats' don't add up, you're just making up numbers to talk your position
