It is absolutely possible there were offers extended for Anderson which offered less than what the Bruins got for Carlo. We’ll likely never know because it would be counterproductive to disclose that information, but it may be that the league as a whole places less value on the veterans on this team then others who were available at the deadline.

I don't think BT is just a bad GM. I think he legitimately may be the stupidest man on earth.

This should disspell any allusions that Treliving learned from his time in Calgary.
He's making the same moves all over again.
Next up will be Marner walking a la Gaudreau.

He won't have a job in 2027 so he doesn't care about sending out everything for mediocre players.

Funny. I was always a fan of how he appeared to treat people and conduct himself, but yeah, he does choose to fight his battles on some strange hills.

There's the classic Treliving overpayment for a tough defensive d-man.
I will not miss his myopic love for these types of players.

Soft, zero offense. This return is hilarious.
I think the Bruins made out like bandits on all these trades. These guys are all mediocre, washed or a combination of the two.

Is there a limit on trading draft picks in the future? Like could you trade a 2035 1st?

Does the combination of what the Leafs paid for Carlo and Laughton compare to what the Hurricanes got for Rantanen?

Kyper said Carolina turned down Minten + Cowan + 2 x 1sts. Leafs offered Rantanen 13.5ish x 8.
Carolina didn’t want Rantanen in the east.

Why not just give Marner the same deal without mortgaging your future? Carolina should have made that deal then signed Marner in the off-season.
