It's always fun to get a trade, but this was expected and understandable. It's hard for a bubble team to justify buying or selling. Conroy got his business done early with Farabee and Frost.
The types of moves the Flames need to make are the types that take place at the draft or during the offseason.
Good GMs are patient and don't fall for the TDL hype just to make deals.

Deals just weren't worth giving up our assets.
No Zary for Cozens - Dont think it makes us better honestly.
No 3rd/4th round picks for UFA's
No sense entertaining lowball offers on our veterans.
The one thing I do have a hard time with is the Kadri to Avs situation and what that return would/could have been given how much Brock received.
With that said we knew Kadri didnt want to go anywhere and we were told by Craig that he wasn't trading him. What "could" have been will have to remain just that.
