Flames gave a 2nd rounder as well

The biggest piece the Flames gave up was a 2nd round pick.

They got a 3rd, 2nd and a guy they could have had on waivers its certainly a loss for the Flyers.

My bad, forgot about the 2nd.

EDIT: and I am probably wrong about Pelts being a scratch - I forgot he had visa issues.

Flyers can afford to spread out the picks.

They have 3 1sts, 4 2nds this summer.

Sure, but just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Actually arguably you should. Because you can only have so many players on reserve and contract and so many spots on your AHL team and then only so many minutes to give to prospects.

Too many players in the pipeline at once isn't great.

Flyers could have done far better on Frost Farabee today IMO

Their loss Flames gain though

I'm not really a Kuzmenko fan. He is an offense only player that has 6 goals. He doesn't contribute anywhere else.

Getting a 3rd for him in any draft is pretty good for the Flyers IMO.

I get a kick out of him. I hope he finds a spot that works for him.

Its the trade tree at issue for them, not this specific one

Anything that happened before is a sunk cost.

The Frost trade was good for the Flames IMO, you shouldn't feel a need to defend it.

It will be glorious if Kuz can help the Kings eliminate the Oilers in the playoffs.

Kuz is always lights out when he gets to a new team. Good trade for the player and for the Kings.
