I am not in the tank crowd, I am of the mindset of let the young guys decide their fate. If they falter then we keep our pick from Montreal. If they succeed well all the power to them get in a good playoff series and show them you mean business by putting an offer in front of Rantanen/Marner/Ehlers. If I am Zary/Frost that gets me more excited then rolling with Kadri. No offence to him.

I would also like to elevate Frost before the end of the year before we have to make a contract offer to him in the offseason. Let's see what he is all about.

We still have numerous veterans on the team if we moved on from Kadri and or Andersson. Backlund/Coleman/Weegar/Hubredeau so I dont think it would be devastating to the leadership of the team.

Sportsnet just sucks. Why does their set look so dark as well? Love seeing Gio on TSN. A shame he couldn't find a team this year.

Kadri is a second line center on a contender at best on an iffy contract term.

Flames fill the hole by adding a 4th line center that they seem to be actively pursuing right now.

Top 50 prospect (ascending player in the age group we are looking for) and a late 1st while dumping salary is very nice.

Reaves would be entertaining at the least save Lomberg from taking every fight.

I would probably want to ask for something else but the bones of the trade makes sense to me.

If the flames are gonna be outskilled in the playoffs I'd at least like to see Reaves and Lomberg running around for a series. Would be really fun to watch imo
