Too bad we aren't currently selling, those teams have some some nice, young pieces.

Andersson should be get-able for the right price, especially with this arms race that appears to be taking off.

I don't know what the neurotic correctness chatter is about but uh, whatever you're insinuating, no.
You guys sure make this thread weird and much more serious than it needs to be. You're discussing a game on the internet. It's OK.

You’re the one that tried to “catch” me in an error.
My comment you responded to was calling out Paulie for his nonsense. That it.

Jets are in a bit of spot here I think. true historically the splashy deadline moves don't move needles, but they've had a great season and the big dogs around them (many who are much more experienced or have playoff track records) are going nuclear
can they afford to take a swing and a miss on this season?

All these teams loading up and trading away premium assets.
Conroy - “hold my beer and let me trade a late pick for a depth player for the playoffs”
Please make a splash Conny.
Andersson to Winnipeg?
Can we please trade 1 of our “core 6”:
Andersson
Coleman
Backlund (probably not)
Kadri
Weegar (probably not)
Huberdeau (still on the wishful side)
Any one these players with the market rate right now would garner a 1st + prospect and will not affect our march to the playoffs imo.

I'm not saying they shouldn't I just think Jets/Kings will be too scared to make a move. Kings like losing to the Oilers for some reason.

I'd be dangling Coleman and Andersson.
Or at least being very open to dialogue.
Love what Coleman has done here but it's similar to glencross and frolik at the end of their Flames stints. They just didn't really fit into the next era of the team with where they were in their career and their trajectory. I'd say the same for Backlund but he's our captain so that changes things.
Well need to make more space for the next wave of young players, because they are coming.

Oilers too. Kane can take another couple months off now, no way his cap space is used on him.

GM's Typically at the deadline have the entire league forecasted but their more focus on the first 4 rounds.
If you make it to the final, there is so many factors.
Edit: Doesn't mean he doesn't look at Calgary's pieces... but I don't have any information to say yes or no.

The west is too stacked at the top. We should be selling if anything not buying.

And teams in the East still have to make moves too. Tampa made their move, Florida moved for Jones, but Toronto, Washington, Carolina, Detroit, Ottawa, etc probably still make moves too

Rantanen moving will start the war.
Offers coming in appear to be gaining in value, and still interest in both Kadri and Andersson, but will Craig move them?
Kadri has committed to this team long term, Andersson not so much I'm told.

I think the team wants these players to get post season experience since they're this close with 20 games to go.
If they were 5-6 points out they're selling. But being in a berth (and honestly, how??) changes things.
They'll get crushed, but maybe they can steal a couple of games on the way out and build some character in the room.
