I haven't believed at any point they'd be adding an old rental player and still don't. It'll be for mid 20s guys with negotiation rights or term. Nothing Conroy has done yet would have me believe he's going to just get a bunch of crappy rentals.

That's how I see it too... Obviously the ask should be high but I still feel the time to maximize on Rasmus is now, and not in the offseason when he is able to start talking about extensions (or not).
Hopefully the ask isn't ridiculous simply due to us being a bubble team and what Connie truly thinks he is worth.

The Flames using any picks whatsoever to add marginal depth players to this team is ridiculous. If Wolf even has an average season this team is near the bottom of the western conference. This is why it never gets better.

Just watching how the Flames/Stars OT finished showed exactly why they have to acquire high end skill. Just don’t have it, same thing happens all the time.

Did Craig Conroy not just watch the game tonight? How can he watch this team and believe adding does anything. As Sutter would say, if they make playoffs it will be just a waste of 8 days.
