If you post enough gifs, you will never be wrong when a trade goes through.

And you can interpret a gif in so many ways that people will just say you called the trade when it happened.

Well, yeah, because as soon as a trade is actually agreed on, the GMs make the trade call and it goes straight out to official news sources. Nobody breaks accurate information before that because there is no accurate information to break.

There's a limit to how much detail we can get on what GMs are trying to do, up to the moment when they actually do it. If we push it too hard, we could get posts like this:

We won’t see any selling of valuable players just for picks.
Any trade for Andersson or any vet needs to come with proven valuable assets as Calgary is still in the hunt, that’s what’s going to make it tough.

A lot of what’s out there publicly right now are those older UFA depth guys, Craig is looking for young guys with term. So it’s a very weird situation right now, it’s very busy for sure but the offers just aren’t good enough…. Yet.

Don’t see Vladar being moved, market not strong enough at this point. No sense trading him for a 4th at this point based on where we are.

War room is up and running, lines are open and active.
Hoping that knock your socks offer comes in

This tells me we'll see minimal activity from the Flames, then. Much more difficult trades and most teams not looking to subtract from their NHL rosters to pickup these players.
