So first time he cancelled the tariffs before they were supposed to start. This time it was 2 days. So 4 days next time?
BC Premier just announced they will add fees and taxes for American trucks going from Washington to Alaska. Will no longer buy American liquor... Of course his presser is live and I wonder if he knows the tariffs are paused again..... jesus

I wonder if the liquor even goes back on the shelves. Removing the liquor was more of a boycott than a tariff. Is there anything legally binding that says Canadian liquor stores need to buy and re-sell American alcohol products.
It's not a product like oil, steel, nickel, or electricity that are needed to make industries function.

I think Trudeau should call Trump tonight, tell him that "Yes you win Orange Rapist. Canada has gotten free BJs from the USA for decades and I will resign as Prime Minister effective immediately if you drop tariffs for the next 4 years"

My (very old) understanding was that a lot of liquor is bought on consignment and can just be sent back.

We should not accept operating on a "pause" every 30 days. Our retaliatory measures should stay in place until....I dunno when. I would say when some sort of legal agreement signed but we already have that and the Clown-in-Chief and his cronies obviously don't care. So there's not really any guarantees going forward. You can't legislate the guys mouth to get shut.
