After speaking with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico, I have agreed that Mexico will not be required to pay Tariffs on anything that falls under the USMCA Agreement.

Either he still doesn't know how tariffs work, or he's wilfully misrepresenting as usual. Mexico wasn't the one who would be paying the tariffs.

So I think we should do the same thing we did last month.

I’m still convinced that he doesn’t even know what a tariff is, let alone how it actually works. Dude is the dumbest person on earth.

There isn't any confusion on Trumps part of how Tariffs work. It serves his purpose to communicate them to the US people as other countries 'paying' (All that bluster about the 'EXTERNAL' Revenue service) etc to hide the fact that his tariffs are actually setting up to be the largest tax hike in US history. US consumers pay while his actual constituents, US business owners, benefit from lower competition allowing them to raise their prices and lower taxes.
The lower taxes funded from essentially gutting the entire government with DOGE and charging tariffs on imports.

Everything is personal with Trump. The guy is the thinnest skinned idiot ever to be in the public eye. Everything about him is about revenge and personal vendettas even if it means doing irreparable harm (see Ukraine) to others to acheive his own personal satisfaction.
How people have fallen under his spell is something that I will never understand.

From CBC, sounds like the orange rapist was dropping Fbombs on Trudeau yesterday.
GO OUT WITH A BANG!! Tell the orange melon that he won't be allowed into Canada ever! because he is an orange felon.

So what's gonna happy in 6 months when everything costs more, job losses are sky high, and no one can get any government services or supports? Does everyone just accept it because they are so brainwashed? Will fear of imprisonment keep everyone quiet? Guns? Guns? Guns?

Ok, so relying on the stupidity of Americans. Probably a decent bet. Hasn't done him wrong so far.

Ford putting an export tax on energy sent to 3 US States. They will remain until all threats of tariffs will be removed.

My brother who lives in Northern Minnesota was not happy when he heard Ontario Premier Doug Ford announce he was slapping 25% tariffs on electricity being shipped to Minnesota on Monday. He's a Democrat living in an area surrounded by stupid and ignorant MAGA Republicans and understands why Ford is doing it.

I’m certain that Lutnick and the majority of the GOP are well aware of how much the U.S. truly relies on Canadian products and energy, etc.. and that some kind of deal needs to be hammered out at some point before these tariffs do significant damage to their economy. The problem is trying to convince the orange dips***.
As long as he’s obsessed with tariffs, his underlings will just continue to parrot the same bull*** reasoning they’ve been using for the last 6 weeks. “It’s the fentanyl! It’s the trade deficit! It’s because they don’t allow our banks to operate on their soil!” And around and around we go for the next several weeks/months/years.
God I hate this timeline.

Lutnick and the rest of them are just lackeys who don't question anything Trump does.

Oh absolutely, when they’re in front of Trump or in front of the cameras, for sure. But I’m willing to bet that in private, most of them are probably going “these tariffs are a stupid idea.”

My stomach is pretty solid, I've never puked on roller coasters, sketchy ferries or boats, airplane drops, etc, but I want off this ride.

Whatever, you can't unscramble an egg. Whenever it can be avoided, I will never buy anything American again and I think most Canadian probably feel the same way.
Even if tariffs get completely lifted, we can't go back to being friends like before. It's all business from now on.
