For Misa, anything not Parekh or Wolf is on the table. Those are the only two untouchables on the team. Both are irreplaceable.

I think at that point you try to make a deal using Mews++ but it would be hard to pass up that opportunity to add a 1C

You just create another hole you have fill making that deal, but you have a better shot at winning a cup with a #1C than you would a #1D.

If they finish last overall they wouldn't move up so they could. They are very high on Schaefer and would take him 1st.

Schaefer, Dickinson, Celebrini, Eklund, Smith, Zetterlund, Askarov. They would have some good young pieces for the future (still would be a few years away from being a contender). Next year is when Grier I'm told would start going after some free agents and bring in a couple to balance it out.

Talks have definitely picked up with other teams yet my information is nothing has really changed as far as what Conroy is looking to do. I think it would take a monster offer for Conroy to move Andersson before talking contract extension in the summer. As I said in another thread it would take the equivalent of a 2nd for Conroy to consider trading Vladar. From what I hear the plan is to reward this team for their play by keeping the band together.

Are you into the sharks more than the oilers these days?

Lindell leads the NHL in Pk minutes. He plays so much that they only play 3 dmen on the PK...they have the #1 PK in the NHL.

Rasmus leads the NHL in GAs against on the PK. He's not very good on the PK.

Neither will play on the PP with Harley and Heiskanen there.

Lindell will be out against the other team's top line; Rasmus will be a secondary option. He's capable of being out there against the top line, but he does not excel at it.

Rasmus will add to the stars but really only 5 on 5 and he will be a secondary defender to Lindell. He doesn't create a lot of offense. He's depth to the stars and they would be better off adding another Tanev for much less than paying a ton for Rasmus.

50% retained 1st and Bourque at best
No salary retained Bourque and 2nd at best.

I don't understand how Conroy doesn't have an idea already of what the contract needs to look like (ball park) for him to resign.

No, you don’t trade the next Paul Coffey for anyone unless they are the next Gretzky or Messier.

Not at all. Haven't watched 1 Sharks game this year. Don't care about them.Just thought I could pass along the info I recieve. Watched every Oilers game. Diehard Oilers fan. The company I work for has spouses who are Sharks scouts, etc so I get info from there. We have team dinners etc and some of the scouts etc are there so I ask questions. Lived in San Jose for 15 years now after living in Alberta for my entire life prior to that (Fort McMurray, Calgary, Edmonton).

He most certainly does, thar doesn't mean he doesn't want to see where negotiations lead.

Add Rantanen to that team and maybe a defender with some cup run experience and holy ####. That’s a scary team.

If there is any high end center available when SJ is picking, I offer them Bruz and our best pick. RD is the only place of weakness in their prospect pool, and if one isn't available to them at their pick, I think that would be something that they would look at.

Wow, that would be very bold.

If the centre doesn’t work out, we’d be the team that traded ‘the next Bobby Orr.’

Its very rare that Flames win a trade. I’d stick with the safer plan.
