I guess they want some leadership? I am not a fan of his game and don't think he adds much else now, but he has been well-liked in the room in all of his stops. How was he doing this season?
Still remember that Oilers fan saying Florida should be afraid of the Oilers putting him into the lineup in the finals. Then he was scratched the very next game again.

I think Thrun and Rutta are hurt, so after Liljegren, Ferraro, and Walman, they're throwing out a couple of rookies in Thompson and Mukhamadullin, and Vlasic. They might just want an experienced body.
Yeah CP would crash....worst team in the NHL traded a pick for a bad dman who will be 29 in May. Some posters on here would absolutely lose their #### if the Flames (who are much better and in a spot) did the same.
We did make that deal with SJS when we traded a 5th for 9 games of Okhotiuk. I still don't think it was a great trade considering we got Misa with a 5th rounder.
