Does Dubas just want to try and fleece Treliving now? Flip Schenn?

He's either trying to make the Schenn Bros reunion happen or he's trying to get in the middle of it.

They flipping them or are they trading more players and need to fill out the lineup?

I see bunting has another year at $4.5 million.

Novak is a solid player. Good move for the Pens.

Yeah, Bunting has been a huge disappointment for the Pens. Novak has been a disappointment in Nashville too, but they expected too much from him, I think. Schenn is well, I have no idea why Pit wants Luke Schenn.

Oh so what you're saying is the Toronto Hype machine talked up a player that actually isn't as good as they made him out to be? Weird.

Weird trade for Nashville, actually. They already had a center problem before this trade.

Novak is the best player here, don't know why Nashville would trade him.

It's why teams have to be cautious when looking to trade for Leafs players. Save for Hyman (even this is arguable seeing all he has to do is stand around the net in Edmonton and deposit loose pucks), a lot of their players are way overhyped due to the market.

Well to be fair, Bunting proved he could produce with elite players, which actually not everyone can. And his salary not out of line for what his production was. Even last year he put up 55 points between Carolina and Pittsburgh, with 19 points in 21 games with the Pens. Just couldn't keep it up this year.

Dubas definitely thinks the Leafs want to unite both Schenn brothers at the deadline and he's like a bitter ex who's trying to inject some drama into the situation.

Schenn is one of those defense first guys and team glue that every team needs. He has been loved by all his former teammates, does what the team asks and sticks up for teammates.

Vancouver really built up his value though, playing with Hughes. 38 points in 121 games in two season in Vancouver. 12 points in 124 games in Nashville. Yes, he's defence first, but I think they were hoping for more from him on the ice.
