This is the sentence you really need to re-examine the accuracy of, as it seems to be core to your biases. So lets examine it. What is the evidence for and against Trudeau caring about Canada? What is the evidence his goal is to inflict damage on Canadians?

Yes he retired and didn't leave, yes the Liberal Party is a disaster and should get booted, yes to all of that. But in the end either we stand up for Canada or we honestly might as well become the 51st state. I would prefer to stand up for Canada and build on our own potential, of which there is a lot. I'd be happy to work with the US the entire time.

But none of this is Trudeau's fault. Or Carney's fault, or anyone's fault other than the idiot in charge down south. So don't make it into something its not.

Yes he should have. He should have done a lot different. He's also a political opportunist making sure he utilizes this entire thing to its full potential.

But nothing he does changes what orange man does. Either Canada stands up for itself in the ways we can or we are not a real country anymore and honestly we just become what Trump thinks we are.

Been a long time since I've seen some real Canadian pride, and I don't get why people are some up in arms about it. The best way to deal with a bully is to punch him back.

The point is if we want to remain an actual independent country we need to fight back.

I personally would have added the export tax to power going south already, but I think Ford & others are trying to work through this and giving Trump a way out which is smart.
