That's some kinda protest.
They could have had an effective protest by copying that one guy who yelled until he was forced out. Just do that one by one, interrupting Trump every time he tried to speak. He would have likely lost his #### and the whole speech would have been derailed. But that would have taken balls, something the democrats have never had in abundance

They're still worried about decorum, which completely went out the window back in 2016. If they want their country back, they're gonna have to do a hell of a lot more than holding up little dainty protest signs. Get off your lazy arses and do something FFS.

Really is the epitome of the democrats in general.

Way to take a stand while your country is burning to the ground.

I'd have commandeered a PA system from a closet where they couldn't find me and ripped into him until he stormed out of the room.

Giving the floor to a liar like that especially when he has the audacity to bring up institutions he's actively destroying in his speech is letting your country, the people who founded it and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for it down.

I laughed a little when he said anyone who doesn't vote for my bills will be replaced.....

Laughed because it's better than shedding tears as you watched democracy die.

That was hard to watch as someone living in the US with two passports and my heart still in Canada. I’m not even sure what to feel anymore. I never in my wildest dreams would I think I’d live in this country and it turn into my homes country’s enemy. Crazy!

Not surprised with Trump's speech, his cult follows him like no other. It's clear they will support whatever he does.

What really bugged me is the Democrats made it clear that nothing is going to be done about this fascist takeover. Besides the one who got kicked out, they all sat there in silence with their cute little "musk steals" signs and pink shirts.

What a spineless bunch of individuals to let this happen to your country. "Home of the brave" has to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard. They need to change their anthem lyrics.

I feel the exact same way. I’m in Texas surrounded by these mouth breathers, I’ve learned to just shut my mouth in public and join my fiancée by rolling eyes and making jokes in front of the tv at home. There’s no common sense down here, we’ve gone so far as to discuss moving to where I’m from even though we both have healthy careers and just bought a house.

I feel for you guys who are currently in the U.S. It's bad enough here in Canada with the stupid tariffs and the incredibly annoying rhetoric coming from the fat orange turd in the WH. But I can't even imagine how insane it must be as an American citizen living in that country right now.

Did I not refer to the GOP as "gutless pukes" and the Dems as "weak and pathetic"? Sadly, I called it.

My brother lives in Northern Minnesota and said it's sad watching a country he lives in go down the sewer.

It’s rough. I tell myself I stay here in Florida because of my friends, and because I basically know what to expect around here. But it’s getting hard.

Many of my friends have turned MAGA, and when I got back into rock singing I was shocked at how many in that community here are MAGAs. I had a lot of them friended on FB so I got to see the worst of it.

So many of the venues here are full of anti vaxxers who just don’t care. It has taken the joy away.

Many of my neighbors have moved to upstate South Carolina because the Greenville area is supposed to be great or whatever, but it’s still very red. Apparently one of the first questions they ask up there is what church you belong to. They will eventually figure out I’m an atheist who doesn’t eat animal products. No matter how quiet you are about these things, all kinds of nastiness ensues when you are “found out.”

So today I have to go back to work for a few hours. I wonder how many remorseful Trumpers I’ll talk to today. My job involves Medicaid/Medicare benefits .

Keep on rock singing. Kick out the Jams!

As of today, more Americans now disapprove of Trump than approve of him.

The fact that it is so close confirms that the US is doomed.

As soon as the idiots down there start to feel the effects of the tariffs, Trump's approval will keep sinking. Groceries, gas, etc... all of this stuff is going to become more expensive within the next few weeks and even people in hardcore red states will start getting pissed.

Well SCOTUS just rejected Trump’s bid to freeze foreign aid.

So, we got that going for us.

OK, so they broke the law and lots of people suffered and died, but they can just continue doing other illegal things until they get told not to, and will shift to more illegal things.

The checks and balances are flaccid and ineffective. America, you have the guns. You've waited decades for this moment. You've argued endlessly as to the importance of the second amendment, and you won that battle handily. Now do something about it.

I think Justice Kavanaugh jizzed in his pants when Trump shook his hand last night.

It took Biden until September to reach this level of disapproval. Apparently, Trump has one of the lowest (or lowest) approval ratings this early into a term. #loser
