Farabee had a great game. He's really coming along.

Step one: Question the Captaincy.
Step two: Score six goals.

5 games. 10 goals for. 12 allowed. 2-2-1. Seems like typical Flames hockey, and that some people remember that pathetic effort against Florida and want to characterize the whole road trip like that.

Bro. We scored one goal in three games. Maybe settle down a bit with the finger wagging.

6 goals came in 1 game lol.

But they played really well in Washington and had an even game in Tampa gout routed in Florida and Carolina and played an another good game today.

It’s a long road trip against difficult teams. It either goes well which it has or you get stomped.

Sis. I gave you the facts. They played against multiple teams who know how to prevent zone entries and came out of it fairly well. I wish the Flames would play the 1-4 or 0-5 system when they are winning.

Win in Dallas and I’d be getting on Conman to bring in Rantanen and Marner

I don't have fancy stats but how many of the Flames goals were expected goals? I'm not going to complain about a 6 goal outburst when we have been in a drought but most of those goals looked pretty ugly based on the eye test.Also.. haha Oilers down 4-1 already.

Came out of it fairly well against teams that "know how to prevent zone entries?" We went 1-2-1 against those teams, were outscored 8-1 in the three games we lost and were shutout twice. The WSH game was promising for sure, but the games against FLA, TBL and CAR most certainly were not.

It's post all-star now. Meaning teams are starting to ramp up their play. Once the trade deadline is gone the play will ramp up even higher. Scraping our way into the playoffs is a nice gesture, and it even puts a couple home gates in the owners' pockets, but if we can't beat the playoff teams now -- what are we gonna do against them when we're actually in the playoffs?

The has been a relatively fun season, and I'm not looking to ruin it for anyone, but I don't want to just fight and battle for two home playoff games every season like it's our version of a Stanley Cup. I want the actual Cup.

Nice to score some goals. Time to beat Dallas and keep rolling.

Fun game to watch, I hope the bench feels like they’ve overcome the worst of it and have success coming. Zary, Sharangovich, and Coronato all get a confidence boost for the race to the playoffs. And Wolf looking very solid.

Trust me, I am not telling you how to be a fan. I would personally greatly prefer the playoffs to giving the Canadiens the 11-16th pick, and the chances of getting a top 10 pick in this (weak?) draft are dimming. If we make it and get Winnipeg all the pressure is on them. Flames were supposed to be left for dead by now.

By the way Philadelphia normally plays pretty sound positional hockey. Ersson was out of it tonight, so they had to create a wild game which they did for a few minutes.

Can’t afford to trade Andersson at this point if the Flames want to push for playoff and we have a big chance making it

Tremendous game and really cool to see a lot of the Flames players get off the pine.

Huberdeau Kadri Coronato/Zary — Huska really knows the pulse of his players. Bumped both players up and down the lineup and they put up points.

Coleman Backlund Farabee — If Farabee can learn to finish this will be a fantastic shut down line going (into?) the playoffs.

Pospisal Frost Sharky — Pospisal has to be one of the more underrated play drivers on the team. Always makes space and comes up with the puck. Really cool to see Frost pick up 2 apples against his former team and maybe show us Flames fan a little bit of what he really is all about.

Lomberg Rooney Coronato/Zary — line had jump especially with the back and forth change of Coronato/Zary.

Really exciting game, onto Dallas and the trade deadline.

Every team in both the west and east chasing the 8th spot all have negative goal differentials. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. It happened with Washington last year.

Solid win, the Flames at worst will go 2-3-1 on this road trip that everyone said was a death march. Hopefully they come home over .500 on the road trip.
