Music? She is a dancer, very attractive, but does she play any instruments, write music, or sing well?

I don’t know if Joni Mitchell appeared? She had a year at SAIT, but really from SK.
There was a sketch where Tegan & Sara were impersonated.
I don’t think Hitman Hart ever appeared.

Loverboy has been musical guest- the band itself has a Calgary origin story but I don't think there were (m)any bornandraised in the lineup
Ted Cruz has been portrayed at least 16 times
I don't think Cheech and Chong (again would be part marks at best ) ever appeared.

Matt Frenette, Loverboy's drummer, was born in Calgary.
On IMDB, you can search for people born in a certain place with credits on certain projects, and Frenette and McCrae are the only people born in Calgary with an appearance on SNL (plus a couple who were writers and/or extras).
Keep in mind there are almost 1000 episodes of SNL and IMDB's records, especially from the early seasons, may not be complete.

I think Tate McRae is very much overrated especially in the local community. One local singer that I wish would have more recognition is Kiesza. She's had some big opportunities and performances but never SNL (maybe one day though.)

She was seriously injured in a car accident in 2017.

Feist was on SNL in 2007. She wasn't born in Calgary, but she grew up here.
I'm surprised Tegan & Sara never made an appearance at the height of "Everything is Awesome", especially considering it was a collaboration with The Lonely Island.

Yeah I know. Just saying it set her back quite a few years.

yeah I wondered about Feist (performing). I feel she 'counts'
interesting that any Calgary presence is on the musical side of the ledger

Are we all just gonna gloss over this mention of Norm Macdonald living in Calgary at some point? As a huge fan I require more than this dine and dash comment!!!
When? How long? Was it spoken about at any point? I had literally never heard that before.

I don't know if I can find a record of him saying it but he mentioned it during at least one live show I've seen.
Edit: knowing Norm it might have been bull####.

I remember hearing a Calgary radio interview (CJSW?) with Norm where he talks briefly about working as a garbage man / waste collector in Calgary. It's probably from the late 90's or early aughts. Surprisingly funny for such a casual interview. I heard it years after it actually aired but unfortunately, I can't seem to find any internet audio.
