That period was the worst in recent and not so recent memory.

They can’t compete with the good teams.

The Washington win was because of goaltending. A win today would have been because of goaltending.

Huska was given a better centre and winger with some pedigree. He has no clue how to integrate them into the team and can't adjust how the team plays to save his life. Absolutely joke of a head coach hiring that just screams mediocrity, which really sums up the Flames organization.

Never on here. Huska is a God here. Half the forum would build a fn statue of the guy outside the dome if they could. It's called conditioning. So many posters have been conditioned to this team being mediocre or sucking they embrace a mediocre coach.

If the Flames were playing a run-and-gun style, they would be losing games 4-3 and 7-4. This system is supporting a weak offence with inexperienced goaltending.


Part of the Florida's argument on the Tkachuk trade was that they wanted to play a more 'playoff-type' of system. Darryl Sutter brought that up a bunch of times. Huberdeau had a big adjustment to make, and credit it to him - he is playing a MUCH more complete game, even if the offence has come down a lot. This team just needs better players, period.
