McDavid, Kucherov, MacKinnon, Draisaitl……..Kyrou. Ya I definitely don’t see it. A soon to be 27 year old who has a career high of 75 points is probably not a top 5 offensive player in the league.

Thomas and Kyrou both have NTCs that kick in July 1 and possible they try to move both of them before then.

It's unlikely for sure which is why I left him off my list initially but if you're going full rebuild then you'd probably move him and he'd be your most valuable asset.
Well,Thomas is only 25, is PPG RHS C. Even in a so called full rebuild you keep your best young guys around, and that’s him.

After reading this again, it's so obvious! Not left field, but first base! Vladdy Jr to the flames E10!

To be fair he said he has the pure skill but lacks consitency...nobody said he was top 5

Laughton is a glue guy in PHI, and the coaches love him too. Which is why the Flyers have been turning down offers on him for a couple years now.

Frameworks of trades are often negotiated/altered for weeks, if not months.

Because a trade hasn’t been consummated within your own arbitrary time constraints does not have any bearing upon its eventual likelihood.

Nothing imminent I’m told.
With that said Craig remains the most active GM in terms of contact.
You can bet he’s inquired on just about every young center that may be available.
The deal that was close is still not dead, but lkely goes down to the wire as it’s believed other pieces need to move first.

Deal has to make sense for Calgary, no rentals.
Young guys with term or who want to commit to this city long term.
Center still a high priority, though they do want a steady dman on the backend as well.
It’s very active now, I expect this week to be chalk full of banter and negotiations.

I’ve heard GMs say lots of deals are talked about at the deadline that set the foundation for deals in the summer.

With reference to the dman, a deal involving Cozens and Samuelsson just makes too much sense and both fit the age criteria. Just not sure what Calgary has that Buffalo would want other than players we deem untouchable.

Yeah, last season was the only one where Nyqvist scored above 54 points, and he's having a bad year. He's also 35 years old.
